Be gentle with yourself. View life through the eyes of a student.

We all fall into a deep hypnotic sleep early in life. The noise, problems, pain and broken promises that we experience fail to resurrect us from our sleep like state. We dream that we are our history, body, successes and failures. We dream that we are measure by God while we bounce around in this machine called life that give us false hope only to knock us down again. The cunning slanted system that we live in secured you in a slave like state. You are daily confronted with survival issues. The only way to escape from this trap is to wake up and notice the deadly web that snared you in its ruthless claws. You must wake up to the reality of the religious dogma and the political rhetoric that encased your mind with lies and deceit. Cunning operators kept you mentally, physically and emotionally paralysed in a state of fear. You were forced to swallow their deadly poison made up with ingredients like guilt and sin. It is only when you wake up and grasp that you are not your body, history or story that you break the chains that kept you under their hypnotic trance. You are only using your body as a vehicle while you attend earth school. You are in this dimension to experience and learn. Your spiritual self have been waiting for your awakening my friend. View all painful experiences today as lessons. Be gentle with yourself. View life through the eyes of a student and not through the tarnished filter of sin.

The moment you take deliberate/sustained action you create momentum.

NON-ACTION

.

I have been doing training and motivational consulting and lecturing for many years. I concluded a long time ago that there is one major flaw that is mostly responsible for the demise of relationships, businesses and even empires. This deadly virus that infests and kills initiative is non-action. Many of us tend to go into a paralysed non-action frame of mind when we are confronted with problems or projects that pose perceived insurmountable challenges. I grew up in nature and often watched how a frog or bird seems hypnotised when they come face to face with a snake. They often have ample time to evade becoming a meal, but just sit there. We often do the same when we are confronted with challenges. We also just sit there and hope that the problem or challenge will go away. Adopting an action orientated frame of mind is imperative in the game of life. Waiting, hoping and praying that things will get better is just not good enough. The solution to most problems is action. The moment you take deliberate action you create momentum. I am not promoting random, run around panic action, but simple deliberate “one step at a time” action. The first thing that you need to do is to “accept what is”. Many of us live in denial and don’t want to accept or admit that we are in deep shit. We cannot take decisive action if we deny that we have a huge hole in our boat that need urgent fixing. The fairies will not mystically come while you sleep and wait and fix the problem. I have seen many executives that seemingly have a magnetic backside that glue them to their chairs. Their factory is burning or the financial vultures are circling their business ready to attack and remove while they wait and hope that a miracle will rescue them. Things are never as hopeless as they seem. The biggest proportion of the challenges we face can be overcome and often even sidestepped if we take positive and decisive action. Logical action is only possible the moment we fully understand what we are faced. Most problems lose their potency when we expose them to scrutiny. The more quality information we have the easier it becomes to take decisive action.

When we forgive ourselves/others, we are literally time travelling.

.

Mind-Bending Facts About Dreams

.

In the Western world we’re taught to perceive time based on the clock ticking forward linearly.

However, spiritual wisdom challenges this notion through the possibility of parallel universes and time travel. And while we may not be able to magically click our heels and end up in a different time and place, we can allow our minds the joy of time travel by visualizing and creating the type of existence we seek to have.

1) Change the Meaning of the Past

Dr. Fred Alan Wolf, theoretical physicist specializing in quantum physics, suggests that when we forgive ourselves and others, we are literally time traveling.

This is because we are travelling with our mind, back into the past and then changing an imprint or meaning we gave to an event. And by changing a meaning or our perspective, we change our world.

For example, when we feel anger or resentment towards another, or to life in general, we carry this feeling forward through time and create a future that attracts such feelings too.

So forgiveness isn’t about making another person right, it’s about saying you will not take your suffering forward with you into the future.

2) Jump Into the Future

When you visualize the life you want to live, you’re sending that message to the Universe and stating the type of future you desire to have.

And with so many realms of the Universe being unknown, including that of parallel universes, it’s exciting to visualize and connect with a “greater you” in the Universe, and then project this person into your future.

As through this visualization process and the Law of Attraction, and the more you focus on the type of future you want (and who you want to be), the stronger that possibility becomes.

This is the fun that comes from living the “wish fulfilled,” as by imagining the future you would like to play a part in, and feeling the gratitude as if it existed right now, you can let go and make choices that move you in that direction.

3) Embrace the Now

Have you ever experienced moments where you’ve been so consumed by creativity that the passing of time has only seemed like minutes, when in fact, it’s been hours because you lost your perception of time?

So when we allow our minds to venture off into a creative space, without looking at the time (and when free from the ego), our minds connect with the divine power that resides within us and time travels to another place.

According to Indian sage, Patanjali, there are even more joys and ways to experience “time travel” as we progress along our path of inner knowing. But for now, use your days to transcend time with some of the above suggestions, and become your own quantum creator.

Resilience is one of the greatest survival skills – 8 tips to help you learn how to bounce back.

.

Fall down seven times. Stand up eight. (Japanese proverb.)

Resilience is one of the greatest survival skills. It helps you both psychologically and physically in the long-run. While it can’t make your problems go away, it can help you endure any sort of hardship – like traumatic events, loss, illness, disaster, the death of a loved one, or any other setback or challenge.

Resilience is about enlisting your inner strengths, and harnessing your healthy coping mechanisms, so that you keep functioning without getting over-anxious, depressed, overwhelmed or apathetic.

Here are 8 tips to help you learn how to bounce back when some misfortune strikes, or when you are faced with a challenge:

Maintain your hopefulness. Even though the picture may look grim for now, think back to all the challenges that you have encountered and overcome in your life so far, to gain hope and optimism that a solution will be found and remember that any wound, no matter how big it seems right now, will heal in time.

Learn to be more stoical about life. Accept that unwanted events, sudden changes in circumstances are a part of life, and instead of clinging to your belief of how things “ought to be” learn to adapt, tolerate and even welcome your problems. Sometimes, problems are teachers and help us grow and become hardier and wiser.

Take some distance from the event, misfortune or challenge and try to view it as happening to someone else. How would you help that person cope? What would you advise him/her to do? Follow your own advice. There are many angles from which you can view a situation. Taking some distance, becoming an observer rather than a participant may give you the strength but also the problem-solving resources to overcome your challenge. Resilience requires flexibility, not holding onto rigidly to only one point of view.

Reach out to your friends or other support groups. You don’t have to go it alone. A friend’s advice, help or even willing ear or shoulder to cry on may help you re-organize better your inner resources. Feeling connected helps empower people in times of hardship. Offering help to others does the same. Help others in need, you will get empowered as much as they!

Take appropriate action. You don’t have to know the whole solution, you don’t have to examine all the parameters before you take some action in a positive direction. Small steps can help you greatly to feel that you are gaining control of the situation. Play it by ear for a while, test what works and what doesn’t.

Remember to laugh. Every challenge, every misfortune has its comical side. Use humor to lighten up. Think of how comedians can describe a tragic situation in ways that make you laugh. It’s a great coping mechanism, a relaxing break from serious thinking, worrying or grieving.

Don’t neglect yourself. Take good care of your nutrition, sleep, and home environment. Create relaxation time, see friends, do things that please you, like relaxing hobbies, or going to the gym.

Maintain your vision and sense of purpose. Setbacks create havoc, sometimes, emotional upheaval and tend to require all of our attention. We tend to obsess about our problem, as if it’s the only thing going on in our lives. It’s good to continue to keep in mind your long-term personal goals, visions, the things that make your life meaningful and focus back on all these areas that provided joy, hope and a sense of accomplishment before the upsetting event. It will help create a sense of balance in your life.

Finally, remember that “this too shall pass”. Repeating this often to yourself will have a soothing and healing effect and boost your resilience.
