A decisive way of thinking and acting will sweep away barriers and hand you control of situations where you would have failed historically.

knowledge

What I am going to reveal to you today will change your life if you grasp how the “system” turned you into a “slave”. I have been writing and lecturing on motivation, manifestation and goal setting etc. for many years. I wrote several books that address many of the aspects mentioned above. I spoke boldly to an endless number of audiences and became a “mind dynamics” instructor at a very young age. Something that bothered me was that I noticed that the audience’s “enthusiasm” bubble always gradually deflated soon after such lectures. Virtually none of the tools that I offered my inspired audience was used for any extensive period. I could motivate an audience to such an extent that I often found individuals left my lectures early to go and attend to something that he/she procrastinated on for years. I later soothed my conscience and viewed my “work” on the same level of an entertainer. I entertained my audience for a while and at the end of the evening left with a substantial cheque in my pocket. It slowly dawned on me that something was blocking the ability of my students to sustain the spark that I provided during my training and my lectures. It would appear as if I woke up a large percentage of my audience with my lectures. I penetrated some kind of veil that enveloped their ability to think outside the box. It would appear as if a barrier lifted for a while only to gradually sink back and shut off their good intentions.

Most people have a sheep “I am a victim” mentality

We have been programmed since early childhood to “follow”. Our parents began the process and “domesticated” us to do what they deemed is right and acceptable. Gradually more and more parental figures entered our lives and reinforced the “follower” mode of thinking. We were conditioned that “following” is respectable, rewarding, morally the right thing to do. Look around you today and you will be surprised how many “controllers” still play a massive role in your life. The work started by our parents was soon expanded on by teachers, ministers, the state, employers, lovers, partners, the media etc. All of them still influence every decision we make. We always first filter every situation, challenge, opportunity, problem or project through the “filter system” that they carefully installed into our brains. Spontaneous actions and reactions hardly ever form part of our life pattern. We might think that we have “free will” but we soon discover that the deduction we made is nothing more than an illusion.

Our subconscious mind

Our subconscious mind contains all the events that we have been exposed to since our arrival on this plane. The subconscious mind is a very fancy filing system that can recall all the feelings, emotions and images that formed part of our encounters in life. Any of these “data” packages can be recalled when “triggered” by our thoughts or any of our five senses. Most of us automatically and spontaneously react and respond with the same reaction patterns recorded historically. It must be kept in mind that the data (reaction patterns) have been “uploaded” by the parental figures as explained earlier. We thus endlessly repeat the same patterns when confronted with choices and decisions. Our subconscious minds do not validate or evaluate the historical perceptions or belief systems, but simply pass it on to our conscious minds as “truth”.

Our conscious mind

Our conscious mind should preferably compare the current set of circumstances that we are faced with, with the reality of the current moment before any action is taken. We unfortunately have been browbeaten into robot like creatures that simply react or act according to the historical thoughts and feelings that we experienced when faced historically with a similar set of circumstances. We are so afraid of potential pain or loss that very few of us dare to question our historical perceptions. This is the reason why I noted earlier that most of us do not really apply free will when faced with choices. It is sad to think that we became slaves to our perceptions and belief systems. Very few of us apply “will power” in all our day-to-day activities. A good question at this stage might be, “Why on earth do we neglect this powerful system?” The reason might surprise you.

We try to avoid pain, loss, rejection and abandonment.

We are so afraid to act outside the framework that we have been indoctrinated with that we rather do our “repeat performances” while at work or play. We mentally run away from any decision that might bring on feelings of fear, pain, unpredictability, loss and anxiety. We will rather remain the puppet of our subconscious mind and serve the agendas of those that initially uploaded our original “software” than go outside the box. My friend this is how we travel from the cradle to the grave in a hypnotic daze. The time has come for us to take our willpower back and experience real growth. This is easier set than done while we go around with our “victim” mentality. Many of us go around crying over spilled milk. We allow the daily events that we are confronted with to decide our fate and future. We enter a new growth phase when we begin to apply our God given willpower in our lives. This leap of faith is only possible when we start accepting responsibility for all our actions and choices.

Accepting responsibility

Many of us immediately look for something or someone to blame when things go wrong in our lives. We blame God, the weather, history, the current financial depression or recession for things that failed to work out as expected. Nothing is going to change until you accept that you were and still are responsible for everything in your life. You possibly made poor choices and now sit with certain uncomfortable outcomes. You will feel a rush of fresh energy in your system when you take responsibility for whatever transpired. You will feel invigorated when you admit your mistakes and take sustained action to rectify what transpired. Let the fear, doubt or anxiety wash over you. Become like a rock that withstands the onslaughts of the endless waves of the ocean. Stop thinking and acting like a victim. Stop blaming the world for your poor choices or for that matter anything that failed to turn out as you expected. Learn that life is not fair and that things often fail to work out the way you anticipated. This mode of thinking drains your energy and suck out your desire to win and overcome. When you begin to flex your willpower muscles, you become strong and fearless. You do not wait for things to happen. You make them happen. You begin to replace the old and often defective software that historically enslaved you. Nobody will be able to intimidate or dominate you. Try as they may they will no longer trigger old and outdated fear reactions in your heart and mind.

The key to a powerful willpower

The key is so simple that many of you might not even try my recommendations. The key is to PAUSE before you take action or react on anything. By pausing, you prevent the old and outdated habitual reaction patterns to run their course. Do not do the first thing that comes to mind. You might ask, “How will I know that I am on the verge of slipping back into the victim mode again?” A quick scan of the emotions that you experience will confirm that you are on the verge of victimhood again. You are back in victim mode when you experience doubt, fear, worry and anxiety. Your guide is always the feelings that you experience. You are in control when you experience good, pleasant, inspirational feelings. Your subconscious “automatic” reaction patterns are in control when you experience fear, anxiety, doubt, anger or any other negative and destructive feeling. The key is to PAUSE the moment you experience any negative feelings.

Ask the following questions. (Write down your answers)

  1. Who is currently in control, my sub-conscious mind (historical reaction patterns) or my conscious mind (willpower)?

  2. Am I at this moment in time mentally past (sub-conscious mind) focused or am I evaluating the current moment on its own merit (conscious mind, will power) focused in the now?

  3. Who am I blaming for my current misfortune? (Someone or something else)

  4. Am I busy flooding my mind with negative and destructive (sub-conscious mind) fears based on my historical perceptions or belief system?

  5. What will happen if I decide to PAUSE for a moment and take no action?

  6. What will happen if I do the first thing that comes to mind?

  7. What is the quality of the conversations that I have with myself at this moment? (Negative – sub-conscious mind based or positive – reality based)

  8. What will happen if I accept responsibility and start working on ways to remedy, repair, adjust or overcome the current problem?

  9. What will happen if I stop listening to people that go around like prophets of doom? (Friends, family, media, TV,)

  10. What is the worst that can happen if I apply willpower and move forward in a bold and constructive manner?

  11. What is the worst thing that can happen if I make a fresh start right now and put whatever happened behind me? (Live in the past with a victim mentality – sub-conscious mind running the show)

Replacing old and outdated reaction patterns

The easy and most effective way to replace old and outdated reaction patterns is to sit back, close your eyes for a moment and relax.

See in your mind’s eye how your current victim mentality is stripping you of your dignity and creativity. Feel the negative and destructive feelings that are currently causing you discomfort.

Ask yourself – how is your current defeatist mentality making things better or solving your current problem?

Focus on these feelings and negative emotions for a few minutes and then mentally or verbally (if possible) firmly say, “PAUSE”. Do this with a commanding voice. Repeat this PAUSE instruction a few times if necessary.

Take a few deep breaths and then do the following.

Begin to visualise how you start acting in a decisive and goal directed manner. Feel how strong and in control you feel while your problems and obstacles dissolve like melting butter. Experience how your willpower kicks in and how it blows away all your feelings of fear and doubt. See how you take sustained action until the problem is solved or the project is completed.

You will be astounded how this short and dynamic exercise will produce outcomes that exceed all your expectations. Your new and decisive way of thinking and acting will sweep away barriers and hand you control of situations where you would have failed historically.

I am wishing you well and know that the above new way of thinking will make a massive difference in all areas of your life.

We become so absorbed in the game of life that we neglect to visit the place in our heart where the child in us still live and play.

.

LIVING IN THE NOW!

You carry within you the seed of a fresh start and new beginning when you arrive on this plane. You must nourish this seedling with waters of love and wisdom. Most people take the game of life far too serious. The key to a successful and joy filled life is to build laughter and light heartedness into everything you do. We start life with enthusiasm and unbridled playfulness. This spontaneity soon makes way for gloom and fear. We become so absorbed in the game of life that we neglect to visit the place in our heart where the child in us still live and play. Our ego or false self is forever busy comparing our performance, the way we look and the outcomes we achieve with those around us. We perceive the world out there as our mirror. We personalise everything.

Most of us are exposed a world of duality early in our lives. We are brainwashed into believing that God are using some scoring system. There is a perception that He has so little to do that He sits around twenty-four hours a day checking up on our dedication and sin levels. There is an impression that the only way that we dare to be happy and spontaneous is when we do what God and society expect from us. Many of us fail more often than we succeed and “sin” more often than we would like to. We feel that it will be hypocritical to experience and project happiness and joy while we seem to perform far below the high-required standards set for us by God and society.

We smile and laugh less and cry and cringe more as the years slip by. Many of us reach a stage where our child hardly ever emerges from his dungeon. The child in us can see, hear and feel our activities, but do not dare to make an appearance. This whole process is a trap and designed with control in mind. Many of us end up morbid robots. The system is so clever that it uses its current slaves (you and me) to breed the future slaves that they will then milk fo taxes and use as cannon fodder in their greed and ego driven wars. We must bring back the child in us if we want to enjoy our day-today activities, relationships and the work we do.

Are you fun to have around, is a question that you need to answer. Another question we need to answer is, “Do I want to win or would I rather make the project or relationship work to everybody’s advantage? Happiness is always a sign of a new beginning. Our perfect self is always happy while our false self seem to enjoy playing the role of a victim.

“Why do this always happen to me?”

.

.

There are many of us that find it difficult to grasp why virtually everything we do often turn to mud. I know friends that can write elaborate books on their experiences with failed ventures or a range of never ending projects that always ended up a disaster. Their initial enthusiasm with a new venture, relationship or experience almost always rapidly fades like the mist in the morning sun. They can corner you and explain to you for hours how life is out to get them. You can see from their facial expressions and hear from their tone of voice that they are well versed in the “I am a victim” roles that they play like mediocre actors in a low budget movie. When you go around with a spirit of RESISTANCE you operate on a frequency level that draw in a stream of problems and challenges that match your frame of mind. There are many that hobble around with an endless range of symptoms that they claim make them feel sick most of the time. The spirit of RESISTANCE used by these potential hypochondriacs give them what they perceived legitimate excuses to remain in a NON-ACTION state. They endlessly visit doctors and alternative healers, but usually suffer a relapse the moment there are signs of improvement. Your enthusiasm is nullified when you use this handy tool supplied by the spirit of RESISTANCE. The attention that this type of individual get from family, friends and even strangers nullify any obligation that they might have to do a solid day’s work or fulfil their role as a partner, mother, father or student. They think that you are a heartless bastard if you expect them to work with their excruciating headaches that come on soon after lunch daily. Don’t get me wrong. Not everyone that applies this method is a hypochondriac or a person that yearns for attention. I suggest that you find a good doctor and get yourself sorted out if there is something that is bothering you. Accept the doctor’s diagnoses. Do not hop from doctor to doctor while you attempt to find one that will support your spirit of RESISTANCE. Anything we fail to complete while we hide behind hollow excuses is an attempt to focus the attention on ourselves and is motivated by our spirit of RESISTANCE. An accident prone person or the individual that is often late for appointments usually suffer with the symptoms of RESISTANCE. It is often their fear of the unknown that cause them to make silly mistakes. It is a misconception to think that they feel ashamed when you reprimand them for their lack of stamina or commitment. They might create the impression that they are embarrassed, but deep inside enjoy the negative attention. They feel that any attention is better than no attention at all.

Look around you and check if you have individuals in your family, at work or that you play golf with that display any of the symptoms mentioned. You might be surprised to discover that there are a big percentage of these individuals that will go to almost any length continue to hide in the RESISTANCE zone. They will often act like stooges or belittle themselves in an attempt to avoid the unknown and untested. I will continue with this series tomorrow.

Do not display your enthusiasm in a too visible manner when you want to buy or obtain something. It will make the price go up or cause the goal posts to be shifted. The deepest wounds are cause by unrealistic expectation. A wise man has unbridled dreams, but he patiently makes them a reality, one step at a time. The less informed also dream, but let his dreams slip from his hand the moment he is faced with the first challenge. The fool is easily trapped by empty promises. People open their hearts, minds and wallets to those that mastered the art of creating false expectation. They simply hint of potential profit and the fools stand in line to hand over their hard earned savings

Enthusiasm and passion assists you to overcome serious obstacles and help you to make your dreams a reality.

During the dark ages, the kings often killed the bearer of bad news. People still today do not appreciate hearing bad news. Do not take it upon yourself to show people on the error of their ways. Your intentions might be pure, but will rarely be appreciated.

Earn the goodwill of people and you will make your journey much more pleasant and purposeful. It is an attribute to be self-reliant, but it is sometimes vital to lose your individuality for the sake of the team. Teams that consist out of a bunch of highly skilled individual players often find it difficult to win. Teams that consist of average players that can gel together and play as a single unit will usually outperform any highly talented team where its members perform on an individual basis.

Emotional, off the cuff decisions always bring disaster into your life. Never make important choices or decisions while you are feeling, rushed, depressed, pressurised or defeated. Never quit when you feel down. If it is time you need, then buy some time. Rushed decisions will lead to disappointment and loss.

Emotions play a major role during conflict resolution. Allow the other party to express how they feel. The obstacle is often not what happened, but how it made the person feel that you have the dispute with.

Enjoy your moments of applause because it can fade like snow in the morning sun. The less informed thinks that the lustre will last forever. True champions know that they must persist with their hard work if they want to sustain peak performance. They are champions because they can perform at their peak even if there is no support from the crowd.

Enthusiasm and passion assists you to overcome serious obstacles and help you to make your dreams a reality. Enthusiasm is like a power additive that you add to your mission in life.

Establish what people need if you want to make a fortune. The formula is simple. If you know what a person really desires you can find ways to assist such person to achieve his objectives. If a man urgently wants some water, do not give him bread. If a man wants recognition, do not swear at him. The formula is quite simple. You will be blessed if you help enough people to achieve their objectives.

Even the most stubborn person can be convinced if you can learn to listen to his perceptions in a non-judgemental way. How can you structure your debate and achieve success if you have only one goal in mind and that is to enforce your will onto the other person? The magic key to success in debate and dispute resolution is not to shout and intimidate, but to adapt your arguments so it will make sense to your opponent from his point of view.

Every decision that you make has some kind of side effect. Remember you cannot please all the people all the time. We are sometimes forced to make choices that make certain people very unhappy. The key is to make a decision that is most appropriate at that moment. We need to sometimes remove our emotions from the arena if we want to make objective decisions.

Many of us reach a stage where our child within hardly ever emerges from his dungeon.

The key to a successful and joy filled life is to build laughter and light heartedness into everything you do.

"Seek out those who are in the process of blossoming, people who've got something to teach you.

Inject enthusiasm and passion into your voice …… life!

Get up off your chair or get out of your bed and rise to your full height. Lift your head and take a few deep breaths. Then begin to act in a positive manner. Walk like a person that owns the world. Smile and show compassion to the people around you. Walk tall and with deliberate steps. Do what needs to be done. You will be astounded how quickly you will feel the cloud of despair lift from you head. Do not whine like a person that is on the verge of expiring. Raise your voice and talk at a comfortable speed. Inject enthusiasm and passion into your voice. You will soon find that you begin to feel as positive as the way you act

We make the same MISTAKES and REPEAT the same old RITUALS endlessly.

The main reason why we get stuck in REPEAT PERFORMANCES can be traced to our laziness, ignorance or often stubbornness to CONFRONT the CORE CAUSES of our problems.

We make the same MISTAKES and REPEAT the same old RITUALS endlessly. We buy self-help books, attend seminars, listen to gurus, go to church, read the Bible and other holy books, but end up REPEATING the same old poor CHOICES and face the same old PAINFUL outcomes. The main reason why we get stuck in these deadly REPEAT PERFORMANCES can be traced to our laziness, ignorance or often stubbornness to CONFRONT the CORE CAUSES of our problems. We doctor the SYMPTOMS and IGNORE the CAUSES that provide the fuel to the FIRE that burn away our potential to be HAPPY, HEALTHY and SATISFIED. New hope flares up like a brush fire when we read something wise or when we listen to something motivational. This injection of ENTHUSIASM never last long and always fade away again like the mist in the rays of the morning sun. We always find fresh excuses to cover up our inability to rectify the real CAUSES of behind the SYMPTOMS that rob us of our HAPPINESS and SUCCESS.

Most people have a sheep “I am a victim” mentality

Your new and decisive way of thinking and acting will sweep away barriers and hand you control in situations where you would have failed historically.

I am wishing you well and know that the above new way of thinking will make a massive difference in all areas of your life.

Enthusiasm is like a power additive that you add to your mission in life.

Most people start the game of life with naive enthusiasm. As time slips by, they are forced to face the reality that very few of their dreams will actually materialise.

Most people fail because they take the first “no” answer they face as the final answer.

Success is only possible when you are able to change a firm “no” into a victorious “yes”.

Sales people must overcome objections all the time. We all are sales people at heart.

Most people go blind when they become overly focused upon the self.

It is very draining experience to spend the best part of your day focused on the self.

Physical and mental fatigue becomes the constant companion of the self-focused individual.

He is so obsessed with his own interest that he overlooks the need of others.

Most people start the game of life with naive enthusiasm.

They dream how they are going to take the world by storm.

As time slips by, they are forced to face the reality that very few of their dreams will actually materialise.

The key is to actively pursue your objective while you still have the strength and fortitude.

Most people today are not interested in you or your well-being.

They tolerate you, befriend you, visit you not to enjoy your company, but rather for what they can extract from you.

They often revert to subtle or not so subtle emotional blackmail if all their charm, sulking or even faked friendship fail to do the trick.

Most people try to live in the present moment with a bag of beliefs that are at least twenty years outdated.

You must be courageous enough to cast out some of your old and outdated belief systems.

No growth can take place and no progress can be made while you run your train of life on the same tracks (belief system) that you used since early childhood.

New tracks will have to be put down and willingness must be shown for innovative ideas and perspectives.

Are you a WRITER who does not write a PAINTER who does not paint, an ENTREPRENEUR who never starts a venture? Do you feel that SOMETHING prevents you from ACHIEVING your full potential? Then it might be an appropriate moment to take a hard look at how your RESISTENCE arrested your ability to take decisive and sustained action. New Series – No. 13

Computers Crash and Relationships fall apart!

Personal Relationship Values

In relationships, just as in every other aspect of life, the spirit and attitude with which you do things is at least as important as your actual actions. Embrace and incorporate these powerful values, and you will start living with more integrity, honesty, compassion and enthusiasm. This, in turn, will breathe new life into your relationship.

Own your own relationship.

You are fully accountable for your relationship. You can never again believe you’re a martyr suffering in your relationship because of an unworthy partner. Only when you stop seeing yourself as a victim will you start to see yourself as a fully competent and potent force in your relationship.

Accept the risk of vulnerability.
Do not let fear paralyze your life. Wanting, reaching out and letting yourself hope makes you vulnerable. At least by putting yourself on the line, you have the chance of getting what you want, as opposed to hurting with no chance of getting what you want. Not to venture is to lose yourself.

Accept your partner.
If your partner experiences in you the spirit of acceptance, then it is most likely that he/she will find you approachable. Two partners who are moving toward each other, rather than both trying to seek safety from pain, have a dramatically improved chance of reconciliation.

Focus on friendship.
You have to take a step back from the problems and pain of your intimate interactions, and focus on your partner’s positive qualities. Turn back the clock and recall what it was that started the friendship that matured into an intimate relationship.

Promote your partner’s self-esteem.
You must bring the spirit of acceptance into affirmative, interactive action. Find the courage and creativity to promote and protect your partner’s self-esteem, even when you feel compelled to be critical. By using the value of self-esteem, you provide a much more nurturing atmosphere, one your partner will not want to abandon.

Aim your frustrations in the right direction.
Work at sorting out the causes of your frustration, and resist the impulsive temptation to pick at your partner. Once you start seeing that the negative things you perceive in your partner are often things you see in yourself, you will literally alter the nature of your interactions with your partner.

Be up front and forthright.
Nothing can be more frustrating than what is referred to as an incongruent communication, where an individual says one thing yet indicates something dramatically different with his or her nonverbal conduct. Strive to express your feelings in a mature and responsible way. By being honest about your emotions, you base your relationship upon integrity rather than lies and deception.

Make yourself happy instead of right.
Start evaluating the things you do in your relationship based on whether those thoughts, feelings and actions are working. For example, you don’t have to prove over and over that you know what you’re talking about more than your partner. Instead, choose a different emotion such as tolerance, understanding or compassion that does not escalate hostility in your relationship. By deciding to be happy rather than right, you will be receptive to your partner’s attempts to de-escalate hostility and return to civil interactions.

Allow your relationship to transcend turmoil.

Rough times and arguments happen, and one way or another, they are going to impact the relationship. You must vow to no longer use threats as a lever to manipulate and control your partner. By doing so, you are setting a clear limit on the places a spirited discussion with your partner will not go.

Put motion into your emotion.
You must turn the concept of love into a proactive behavior. Don’t be so consumed with negative messages that your expectations are low. You must require yourself and your relationship to truly be better.
