Book review – The Divine Matrix – THE TWENTY KEYS OF CONSCIOUS CREATION

.

The Divine Matrix by Greg Braden

Almost universally, we share a sense that there‚ more to us than meets the eye. Somewhere deep within the mists of our ancient history, we know we have magic and miraculous powers within us. From the time of childhood, we fantasize about our ability to do things that are beyond the realm of reason and logic. And why not? While we‚ children, we have yet to ‚Äúlearn‚ Äù the rules that say miracles can‚ happen in our lives.

Gregg Braden has spent over 20 years studying spiritual and religious texts and is considered by many an inspired spiritual teacher. Most people interested in spirituality are already familiar with his previous works like ‚ The Spontaneous Healing of Belief‚ Awakening to Zero Point‚ The Science of Compassion‚The Isaiah Effect‚ and ‚The God Code.

The special message contained in Braden‚ new book, The Divine Matrix is that we are not observers but creators of our own personal worlds, and we have the power to transform our lives by gaining a better understanding of our relationship to all-that-is, learning how to listen to its messages, and learning to communicate with it in its own language.

The Divine Matrix is divided into three parts. Part I Discovering the Divine Matrix: The Mystery that Connects All Things‚ examines and combines ancient wisdom with recent breakthroughs in quantum physics to give us an understanding of this net of energy that contains all.

Part II, The Bridge Between Imagination and Reality: How the Divine Matrix works‚ describes in great detail our ability to connect with and re-program the matrix to mirror more desirable effects on our lives.

Part III, Messages from the Divine Matrix: Living, Loving, and Healing in Quantum Awareness‚ teaches us how to listen to the Matrix and how the Matrix reflects our emotions in the relationships we form with others and with our world.

WHAT IS THE DIVINE MATRIX?

Braden describes it as a field of energy, which provides the container as well as a bridge and a mirror for everything that happens between the world within and the world without. He also invites us to look at the Divine Matrix as a cosmic blanket, which is many layers deep and is everywhere and all the time. Braden tells us that from a quantum perspective, everything in existence from an atom to a whole planet can be thought of as a disturbance in the fabric of this space-time blanket. In the Vedas, this blanket is the unified field of pure consciousness‚ that bathes and permeates all creation. According to Hsin-Hsin Ming (the Taoist Faith-mind Verses) it‚ described as the essence which is the container of all experience and the experience itself.

Combining the wisdom of our oldest traditions with some findings of quantum physics, Braden concludes that there are three principles that govern the Matrix:

1. Everything exists within the Divine Matrix and everything is inter-connected.

2. The Divine Matrix is holographic, which means that any portion of the field contains everything in the field.

3. The past, present and future are intimately joined. As a container of time, the Matrix provides continuity between the choices of our present and the experiences of our future.

OUR RELATIONSHIP WITH THE DIVINE MATRIX

We connect to the Matrix, not by thought, but through the language of emotion. Our feelings of love, hate, fear, forgiveness etc. are actually instructions that program the Divine Matrix. Within this emotional communication and connection to the Matrix lies our power to bring healing, more joy and peace to our lives. According to Braden, the Matrix can be thought of a huge computer into which, through our beliefs, feelings and emotions, we program commands that produce the results we see in our lives.

In Part III, Braden provides us with 20 keys to conscious creation which if studied, understood and applied can help us greatly in getting in touch with our miraculous potential to heal and create joy, love and peace in the world.

THE TWENTY KEYS OF CONSCIOUS CREATION

Key 1: The Divine Matrix is the container that holds the universe, the bridge between all things, and the mirror that shows us what we have created.

Key 2: Everything in our world is connected to everything else.

Key 3: To tap the force of the universe itself, we must see ourselves as part of the world rather as separate from it.

Key 4: Once something is joined, it is always connected, whether it remains physically linked or not.

Key 5: The act of focusing our consciousness is an act of creation. Consciousness creates!

Key 6: We have all the power we need to create all the changes we choose!

Key 7: The focus of our awareness becomes the reality of our world.

Key 8: To simply say that we choose a new reality in not enough!

Key 9: Feeling is the language that‚ to the Divine Matrix. Feel as though your goal is accomplished and your prayer is already answered.

Key 10: Not just any feeling will do. The ones that create must be without ego and judgment.

Key 11: We must become in our lives that we choose to experience as our world.

Key 12: We are not bound by the laws of physics as we know them today.

Key 13: In a holographic every piece of the something mirrors the whole something/

Key 14: The universally connected hologram of consciousness promises that the instant we create our good wishes and prayers, they are already received at their destination.

Key 15: Through the hologram of consciousness, a little change in our lives is mirrored everywhere in our world.

Key 16: The minimum number of people required to a change in consciousness is the 1% of the population.

Key 17: The Divine Matrix serves as the mirror in our world of the relationships that we create in our beliefs.

Key 18: The root of our experiences may be reduced to one of the three universal fears (or a combination of them): abandonment, low self-worth, or lack of trust.

Key 19: Our true beliefs are mirrored in our most intimate relationships.

Key 20: We must become in our lives the very things we choose to experience in our world.

Undoubtedly, Gregg Braden is a great spiritual thinker and visionary of our times. Like many of his contemporaries he also tries to bridge science with spirituality. In part, this is in response to modern man‚ need not to take things on faith, but have his faith backed up by scientific evidence. In The Divine Matrix, Braden attempts to link quantum physics to metaphysics and spirituality. Does really such a link exist? The average lay person, would still have to take Braden‚ scientific ‚Äúevidence‚ on faith. The more scientifically oriented reader would tend to consider the link very tenuous and the evidence presented to prove it, arbitrary and sketchy.

Quantum physics is a highly complex science firmly rooted in reason and logic. Metaphysics, on the other hand, is deeply rooted in feeling, emotion, intuition and faith. Braden attempts to blend reason with intuition in his effort to broaden our understanding of our world. How successful and convincing his attempt is, is up to the discerning reader to decide.

Are you religious or spiritual or both?

.

compare

.

These differences are general and therefore not applicable to all the different organised religions. Some of these differences may not apply to your specific religion. Being religious does not mean that one cannot be spiritual or vice versa. It is also possible to be both religious and spiritual. Some people had no religious education, but they are spiritual in the sense that they live in awe of their Creator.

RELIGION

SPIRITUALITY

1. Externally imposed beliefs, values, dogma and doctrine as interpreted by the clergy, an ordained priest or rabbi.

1. An internal search for the Truth and no external, authoritative body or dogma.

2. Religion provides the answers to most of the fundamental questions. Most religions disapprove of and discourage their followers to think for themselves or to question the dogma.

2. There are no pre-formulated answers. It is essential that you explore different traditions, question and use your enquiring mind. You need to discern in order to determine the Truth.

3. One is to a certain degree dependent on one’s ordained priest who acts as an intermediary or gatekeeper to heaven.

3. One is capable of establishing a direct and personal relationship with the Creator.

4. Some organised religions are fear based as the followers are threatened with hell fire, brimstone and the wrath of God.

4. God is Love and Light and the emphasis is on an unconditional and a non-judgemental Higher Power.

5. There is a specific time and place of worship, such as a cathedral, synagogue mosque, church or temple.

5. There is no specific time or place of worship. You live in awe of God all the time. God is everywhere and now here.

6. Some organised religions tend to induce guilt and attempt to keep people dependent.

6. Spirituality empowers the individual, because God is loving and compassionate and wants one to feel worthy.

7. Some religions demand total obedience, poverty and celibacy if it is your vocation to serve God.

7. God can be served by anyone in any position (even if you enjoy affluence). God is unconditional.

8. Religion has divided people, created friction, conflict and war. Millions have been killed in the name of religion. Polarisation also occurs within the same religious order.

8. People from different cultures, races and religious denominations gather in peace and harmony in their devotion to the Divine. There is no division, discrimination or judgement.

9. Some religions support a patriarchal system and women are regarded as inferior. Women are banned from certain ceremonies, denied an education in certain Holy Scriptures and they may not be ordained as priests.

9. There is no discrimination with regard to gender. We are all equal and children of the Creator; the Creator has no preferences and regards all of us as His children. Nobody is denied access to any Holy Scripture.

10. Discrimination against members of a different faith or denomination. There are also religions that claim exclusivity, in other words their doctrine is the only path to salvation.

10. Unconditional positive regard for one’s fellow man, regardless of his creed. One’s neighbour is loved, honoured and respected, just as one loves and respects oneself.

11. Depending on the religion, one is limited to a specific Scripture, Text or Bible and there are religions that claim that their text is the only ‘Truth’.

11. All the Scriptures and the teachings of all the great Masters are available and perused without judgement. One uses the ability to discern to find one’s own Truth.

12. Many people, who claim that they are ‘religious’, do not practise what they preach.

12. Most truly spiritual people live a life of integrity, in congruence with their spiritual values and in total harmony with their fellow man.

13. Most religious traditions have a more narrow-minded approach and a tendency to be suspicious of information that does not fit in with their doctrine and beliefs.

13. An eclectic and far more open-minded approach, as well as a tendency to focus on Universal Laws and Truths.

14. Some religious orders tend to discriminate against, reject, victimise or condemn other races, prostitutes, illegitimate children and/or homosexuals.

14. Unconditional acceptance and a non-judgemental attitude towards other races, minority groups or those victimised by society.

THE EAT OR BE EATEN WORLD WE LIVE IN

 .

Very few people understand that the “personality” that they live reflects the progress that they made spiritually at any given moment in time. Their outer and inner worlds are mirrors that reflect back to them the quality of the outcomes that they created for themselves. The maturity displayed when you are at work or play advertise who you are and how far you evolved from the barbaric survival orientated being that you were many lifetimes ago. We started manipulating this dimension (earth zone) a long, long time ago. We soon forgot our heritage and started acting out the same survival instincts of the other creations (animals etc.) that we encountered here. We become survival orientated in all our actions and reactions. We collectively and individually soon displayed the “survival” personality styles that we learned by studying nature. The “kill or be killed” and the “eat or be eaten” style of living soon forced us to attempt to outthink, out run and out fight everything that could threaten our survival. I am not going to labour this point. I should one day write a book where I expand extensively on this introduction. The fact of the matter is that many of us gradually evolved into more sophisticated beings that began to display more mature personality styles. We evolved into clusters and finally into societies where each one of us began to develop specific personality styles that are unique to us. Our personality and coping mechanism reflects our history. Some of us are still over the top combative today. The reason for this aggressive and combative style is our failure to overcome the original “fight for survival” instincts that we used originally when we arrived in this dimension. We still view everything and everyone with suspicion. We act and react in a manner that reflects all the characteristics that can be linked to a person in survival mode. Our current actions and choices might be far removed from reality, but we act as if the treats are real and experience the same fears that we experienced many lifetimes ago.

I am sure you can see from the introduction above that our current personality style and coping mechanisms might be a reflection of our ability to overcome the negative and destructive residue left behind in our DNA. We cannot act and react outside our built in coping style until we discover that many of our actions and reactions are destructive and not conducive to our own wellbeing. We might have a strong desire to act with compassion, love, understanding and joy, but fail to achieve these goals because of our more primitive coping style that is active. This is the reason why we have the best intentions in the world, but find that we often fall short of the outcomes we desire.

We will return to this dimension until we improved our overall vibration to a level where we can move out of the trap that we currently find ourselves in. We all know that the space shuttle can only escape the awesome law of gravity when it moves at a fast enough speed. We are the same. We are not in this dimension because we pissed off God or because we are up against a Satan character. We got stuck in this dimension because we got so involved in the silly games played in the matrix that we finally believed that we are our bodies and histories. Our vibration levels lost so much momentum that we got stuck in this dimension.

The only way we can escape this zone is to get our vibration levels up again. This can only be achieved when we become pure again. We were blessed with a control panel that shows us the progress we are making. Our progress is mirrored back to us from holographic world that we created for ourselves. Each one of us contributed to the collective hologram called earth. Each one of us experiences this holographic world in our own unique way according to our perceptions and beliefs. We filter everything and everyone through our belief filter system. Your world that you experience is different to the one I live in. The world that we see today is nothing more than the collective beliefs held by society.

Close your eye and first observe how you currently act and react. Do this in the role of an observer. See what you do or fail to do and what implication it produces in your, relationships etc. This is not done to generate guilt or fear. You need to know where you are if you want to get where you want to be. When you finished this cycle open your eyes for a moment. Wait for about ten minutes and then repeat this cycle. You will this time close your eyes and see how you act and react in a more appropriate and effective manner. You can now experience the joy and feeling of satisfaction that this new mindset will bring into your life. My friends it is just as simple as that. Invest ten to twenty minutes daily and rebuild your life. What you see you receive. Don’t view this as some kind of religious cycle. You have been using this method all your life. Everything you currently do or fail to do was registered in your retrieval system in a similar manner. Notice next time you at act or react in a negative and destructive manner how you call in pictures and feelings as well. All we are doing now is overwriting some of the defect data that you have been using since early childhood.
