Many experimental psychologists and sociologist have shown that the effects of environment play a major role in shaping our behavior and values. If constructive behavior is appropriately rewarded during early childhood, the child becomes motivated to repeat the rewarded behavior, provided that the reinforcement meets the individual needs of the child. For example, if a football were given to a child who is interested in botany, this would not be a reward from the child’s point of view. It is very unfortunate that so many individuals in our society today are not appropriately rewarded for their creative efforts. In some instances individuals are seemingly able to overcome the shortcomings of their environment in spite of an apparent lack of positive reinforcements. This is due to their own “self-reinforcement” in which they can see an improvement in whatever activity they are engaged in, and achieve an intrinsic sense of accomplishment; their reinforcement does not depend on the approval of others, nor on monetary reward. Those children who do depend on the approval of a group tend to be afflicted with a sense of low self-esteem, while children who do not depend on group approval usually acquire a sense of self-approval by improving upon their own performance.

Are you a WRITER who does not write a PAINTER who does not paint, an ENTREPRENEUR who never starts a venture? Do you feel that SOMETHING prevents you from ACHIEVING your full potential? Then it might be an appropriate moment to take a hard look at how your RESISTENCE arrested your ability to take decisive and sustained action. New Series – No. 16
You should by now understand that each one of us has a unique RESISTANCE bubble or energy field that encase us like a glove. Many of us live and die within the perimeters of our RESISTANCE zone. The biggest percentage of us is so dedicated to maintain our zone of RESISTANCE that we hardly ever venture outside its perimeters. We sometimes during moments of courage pull up the heavy draw bridge of our fortress of RESISTANCE and venture into the unknown. Our visits to the unknown zone are usually fleeting. We rush back to the safety of our walls the moment we run into anyone that criticise, question or confront us with stuff that fail to match the blueprints in our perception archive. There comes a time when we feel that we must find a partner. We are then forced to venture out of our fortress. We begin our search for a suitable partner by matching the potential partner’s RESISTANCE against our own. We do our best to avoid bringing in a partner that might cause us discomfort. We reason that it will be very beneficial if we select a partner that closely matches the frequency of our own RESISTANCE level. That is why a partner with the same religious, political or race perceptions etc. is selected. We also know that there will be a gradual merging of the RESISTANCE levels of the partners. We try our level best to find a partner that will preferably enhance our own convictions and strengthen our RESISTANCE objectives. Our fear of the unknown immediately limits the number of potential partners that we have to choose from. When we find someone that we think will be a suitable partner we propose marriage. We then go through the prescribed rituals and gradually become a collective cluster of RESISTANCE. We then when appropriate procreate and begin to produce children. The children arrive in this dimension with no perceptions and no fears. They are free mentally. They are little spiritual bundles of joy that love unconditionally. Both partners soon realise that it is imperative that this new arrival are domesticated and taught how to become an acceptable member of the society that they live in. Can you see how the process of enslavement happened to you as well? This is how the never ending cycle of entrapment is sustained.
Look around you today and see how man has been reduced to entities that live in tiny boxes. Look at the endless rows of dwellings that go on for as far as the eye can see. Inside each of the dwellings (boxes) are living beings with hopes and dreams that are more often than not too afraid to attempt anything that might rock the boat or cause discomfort. We vigorously RESIST anything or anyone that dare to trespass into our space. We create the impression that we are happy and successful from behind our picket or barbed wired security fences. I will continue with this series tomorrow.

Both Pessimism, Optimism Are Self-Fulfilling Prophesies
Nevertheless, Ballantyne said the study’s findings struck him as a demonstration of the attitudes and reactions he sees in his practice.
“It’s probably very relevant in terms of the current economic environment,” said Ballantyne.
Ballantyne gave the example of two patients facing similar stresses at work — such as picking up extra duties from laid-off employees.
“What I typically see when people have stress is some people exercise less, they eat much worse. There is this whole issue of eating to make yourself feel better, drinking too much,” he said. “With a lot of people it seems things start to unravel in their lifestyle.”
Both Pessimism, Optimism Are Self-Fulfilling Prophesies
Rarely, he said, he might see a person react to stress with optimism and gear up for the temporary challenge at work by planning.
“People who are optimistic, they think, ‘well, I got to be a little more efficient. It’s going to be bad for a while. I’m going to work out and sleep.'”
In addition to the agreement with what he sees within his practice, Ballantyne thought the findings correlated to past studies about depression.
“There’s been a lot of data in terms of cardiovascular disease and depression, and this is a little bit of the flip side of depression, isn’t it?” he said.
“We’ve known for a long time that people who have depression have very high heart disease rates. … What they did was take it to another level,” said Ballantyne. “It’s one thing to not be depressed. It’s another to say that someone is optimistic.”
While all these studies work out how mood relates to health, they still leave the question of what a person is to do with their attitude.
“You can’t just make someone who is pessimistic, optimistic,” said Dr. Terry Rabinowitz, a professor of psychiatry and family medicine at the University of Vermont College of Medicine in Burlington.
But Rabinowitz doesn’t always see pessimism and optimism and immutable qualities in someone’s personality. In fact, Rabinowitz said a person may go through extended periods of pessimism and optimism, even for years at a time — so there may be hope.
“You could take a snapshot of this cohort,” said Rabinowitz. “But what’s their overall view of the world, other than are they just pessimistic today, or this year?”

Using Think And Grow Rich To Gain Self Esteem – FREE DOWNLOAD!
There is a growing concern among many younger people today that they do not have the skills to approach life and be successful. These young adults seem to suffer collectively from a lack of self-esteem. We have to ask why a whole generation seems to be afraid of their own future. We need to understand that a lack of self-esteem is easily corrected by those who desire to; there is a simple and effective cure for low self-esteem.
the book Think and Grow Rich there is a simple and effective method of achieving your desires, and the author Napoleon Hill named it “autosuggestion” since until that time it had not been named. Today some of us will recognize the technique as something different but the principle remains the same and it works. Using autosuggestion will indeed cause you to find self-esteem and self-confidence, and once you master this technique there is no limit to what you can be or do.
Briefly, there are three parts to your mind, the conscious which uses the senses to interpret information, to control the satisfaction of basic needs, and to think. Then there is the unconscious mind that controls the automatic functions such as blood flow and breathing. Lastly, there is the subconscious mind that is the controller of habits, beliefs, and behavior as well as the connection to the universal mind. The universal mind, also known as the higher power, is the provider of all things, it will give you everything you ask for, and the subconscious mind is what does the asking. It is the subconscious mind that can and does control your destiny, and it is the job of the conscious mind to direct the subconscious, yet here is where most of us fail.
However, we can teach our subconscious to behave differently through the process called autosuggestion. With simple actions taken by our conscious mind, we can program our subconscious to believe anything. Realize that it is what the subconscious believes that brings into our lives those physical things that correspond with those beliefs. Through years of programming we have been taught, and have directed our subconscious to believe that we are limited. Some of us were taught that life is hard and you don’t always get what you want, others were taught that you are disadvantaged for some reason and so would never achieve greatness or success. These beliefs were accepted by the subconscious and so it communicates with the universal and it provides what you believe and so you remain in poverty, working to just barely get by, as you “know” life is hard.
Here is where you have to change what your subconscious believes. You have to correct your way of thinking, and it is remarkably easy with autosuggestion. In the book Think and Grow Rich there is a simple and effective method listed, and for brevity sake, it will be paraphrased here. First, determine what exactly it is that you desire, you must be specific and detailed. The book Think and Grow Rich gives you many reasons why, but we are being brief for this article. Secondly, you must write it down on paper, do not skimp on details and do not be afraid of expending ink. Third, promise yourself that you will read it out-loud every day, and then do so. Fourth, think about what you have written, at first do so with every meal, then as it will become a habit and you may think about your paper and its content even more frequently. Fifth, act upon what you have written, any action will do as long as it is relevant to your desire.
You will see results after only a week, you will feel the effects after only two days, this will work amazingly quickly for your benefit, and it is so easy you will wonder why you haven’t been doing this your whole life. Do not get angry for not having been shown this technique before, just understand that the universal provides to you what you desire only when you are ready to receive it, and until now, you were simply not ready. Now you are, you have found this information and it is time to use it.
Be Blessed
