Most people attempt to influence YOU to do what is best for THEM.

.

.

Decisions not made today become tomorrow’s problems and disputes. When you ignore any problem, it is provided with time to germinate and grow

Develop a “do it now” attitude if you want to make progress with anything. Procrastination is at the root of most failures. What are you waiting for? The weather or circumstances will never be perfect. While you wait opportunities will pass you by and your minor problems will gain serious momentum.

Develop a do it now attitude and you will be successful. Procrastination is the main reason why people fail. They wait, hope and dream, but never push the go button. It is like a space shuttle on the launch pad. Only when the “go” button is pushed will the giant engines activate and pull the massive ship into orbit. If the go button is not pushed you will find the shuttle still in the same position decades later, all rusted and ready for the garbage heap. Most dreams and aspirations end up on the garbage heap of life as well.

Difficulties and problems are usually forerunners to growth and success periods. The fool gets stuck in the danger zone while the wise man rides the tide and usually emerges stronger and wiser on the other side.

Disconnect from people that enjoy making you look stupid or that take advantage of you. Nobody has the right to minimize your stature or self-perception. You are a champion in your own right. You can never tolerate any activity that is designed to degrade you.

Display true compassion, warmth and understanding if you want to penetrate the defences of someone. You might be pushing someone away with your cold and calculating style. Compassion draws people to you while a lack of compassion sends them into hiding.

Do everything in moderation. Even the most powerful horse becomes weary if worked too hard. Make a good thing even better by knowing when to stop. Begin to work in powerful spurts. Stop trying to sustain pressure all the time. There is a time to sustain pressure and then there is a time to let go and relax. Wisdom is to know when to go for gold and when to relax.

Do not allow friendliness to deceive you. Friendliness is often a good camouflage used to set you up for failure. Enjoy true friendliness, but validate each event on its own merits.

Do not allow other people’s opinions to cloud your better judgement. Most people attempt to influence you to do what is best for them.

Do not allow your current defeated status to prevent you to become who you know you can be. You are not your history and can at any time and at any age make a fresh new start. Nothing that happened in the past can have any hold on your “now” without your permission. It is not important how many times you have been knocked down, but the number of times you got up that counts in the end.

A person on the spiritual path is not a weakling.

.

gresive behaviourMany of us go around with a victim mentality. We allow life and people to dictate our lives. We almost always fall short of their selfish requirements. Nothing in life that is worthwhile comes to us because we have a nice smile or a submissive attitude. We need to walk tall and go for our goals and dreams in a positive and decisive manner. It is silly to think that we will be treated with respect if we allow people to sweep the floors with us. There is a time to be warm, kind and flexible, but then there are occasions that we must walk tall, become strong and do what needs to be done. It is silly to think that life is fair. Many of us think that we must never lose our cool notwithstanding the ongoing attempts of someone to knock us down psychologically. Stuff will happen daily – deal with it in a decisive manner. A person on the spiritual path is not a weakling. It takes courage, stamina and people skills to make your way through the matrix of life. Our objective is to become love. Not role play our way to success, but grow and learn from the many experiences on offer daily to practise our theoretical knowledge that we read in a book somewhere. I am not promoting aggressive behaviour, but urge you to master the art of assertive self-defence

You can move a mountain, one bucket at a time.

.

It is wise not to allow your ego to deceive you into the overestimation of your own abilities, resources, progress or financial reach. When you fail to allocate the right value and weight to something or someone, you are setting yourself up for failure. It can be fatal or at lease disastrous to hope that, everything will turn out ok. We sometimes see great masters at work and think that their “faith” moved mountains for them. What we fail to understand is that these masters linked their faith to positive and sustain action. They do not wait for things to happen they make them happen. You can move a mountain, one bucket at a time. Many of us make the mistake of thinking that all we need to do is to believe and wait. Success comes to those that transform their desired goal into positive and constructive action.

We often fear change. Growth is not possible without change.

.

.

Many take little notice of motivational or inspirational articles, books or posters. Others in turn scan the horizon for anything that promise to magically turn them into unstoppable  manifestation machines. We have been flooded with so-called inspirational books and material for many years now. It is almost pathetic to notice how authors, some well known and some that never wrote a book in their life before jump on the bandwagon when a new movie or DVD come out and achieve success. A good example of this is when the DVD’s came out with the titles “What the Bleep” and “The Secret”. An avalanche of books, DVD’s and articles suddenly rained down on us like a thunderstorm. Everyone jumped on the idea of manifestation. Deceptive seeds were sown by well intended and not so well intended authors and lecturers that created the impression that you can simply flop down on a comfortable chair and visualise your way to success and affluence. Millions of books and DVD’s were sold world-wide. The “secret” that turned out not to really be a secret became a best seller world-wide. Don’t get me wrong. Both the books mentioned contain powerful material that could turn your life around, but fail to really explain that visualisation must be followed by sustained action if you want to achieve your objectives. The blue print that governs most of your actions and choices is mirrored in the environment around you that you face daily. Many of us slipped into a certain channel early in life. We then simply become a copy machine that churn out the same old attitude and outcomes in the patterns that we live daily. Very few of us make regular attitude adjustment and modify the perceptions that form the main pillars that we built our lives on. We make the same old mistakes and act in the same manner without stopping for a moment to question the validity of our actions and choices. Our attitude towards life in general and our attitude towards our children, friends, politics, race etc. remain the same. The same responds patterns jump into action when triggered. The most effective way to get from where you are to where you want to be is to adjust your attitude. New software must be downloaded into our subconscious minds. What I find amazing is the reluctance we often display when it comes to the modification of mindsets that no longer serve their purpose. We must reinvent ourselves on a daily basis. We cannot desperately hang onto stuff that is busy poisoning our soul. This message might be the best news you received in decades. The reminder that you as an intelligent human being can reinvent yourself, your relationship, career or anything else whenever you want to must be phenomenal news to you. We often fear change, but look around you and you will notice that growth is not possible without change. They say that you need to reserve a place at the funny farm if you believe that you can repeat the same old behaviour and achieve a different outcome.

You are not a garbage truck that are contracted to remove everybody’s garbage (problems).

.

couragemark

Assist people to achieve what they really desire if you want to make friends for life, become awfully rich or become very popular. Our expectation and hope drives us forward and helps us to overcome serious setbacks.

Attempt to make the right and best choice on a moment-to-moment basis. If you are going to wait for the perfect moment or until you have all the data, you might never make up your mind. Remember that your in-basket will still be full even on the day you die.

Attitude plays a vital role in everything you do. A poor attitude can never produce good results. A poor attitude is at the root of most failures. A poor attitude caused more marriages to fail and relationships to break down than all the other reasons put together.

Avoid head on confrontations or disputes if you can. There are usually no winners in such ego driven fights. The urge to win is sometimes so strong that it clouds our mind and judgment. An obsession by both parties to win usually lead to a major loss for at least one of the parties.

Avoid people that have the tendency to make their problem yours. By appearing helpless or lost, they con you into taking ownership of their problems. You are not a garbage truck that are contracted to remove everybody’s garbage (problems).

Avoid people that promise you the world, but do little. When you rely on an “empty promise” person, he will cause you endless problems. Good advice is to do things yourself if you want to make sure that they are taken care of.

Avoid saying things that could make people feel idiotic or inferior. It might give you a short-term ego boost, but in the long run, you will create an army of enemies that would love to even the score.

Avoid the misconception that people want to hear what is right and just. They want to be fed what they feel suits their current purpose. Give people what they want and you will be richly rewarded. When you help people to achieve their own objectives, they are usually more susceptible to yours.

Balance and decency is in during periods of success. When instant gratification becomes our main objective, we rapidly slide into the abyss of failure and discomfort. The wise man mastered the art of projecting himself into others’ shoes. When you act in a fair and responsible manner you enhance your chances of success many fold.

Be careful and remain grounded when you are faced with obsessive driven individuals. These individuals tend to exaggerate and amplify things in an attempt to buy your support. Certain politicians, clergy and conmen are experts at the art of mass hypnosis. When you are in the presence of passion driven individuals you need to question, probe and take nothing for granted. If you do you will do it at your peril.

Your attitude towards partner/family/friends/life) is the force that drives the weather that you experience daily.

.

Keep the following image in mind the next time you are not happy about your current circumstances. You create the mental “weather” in your life. You either create sunny and balmy days or miserable, wet days with isolated thunder showers. The collective weather pattern between you and your partner (or family) combine to form a “weather pattern” as well. Your attitude (partner and family) is the force that drives the weather that you experience daily. Change your attitude if you don’t like the general weather conditions that you must live or work in.

You can re-write the story of your life!

.

.

I often get someone in my audience that express shock that I suggest that we replace defective knowledge and perceptions that we discover no long longer serve their purpose. These individuals are convinced that there is absolutely nothing that they need to put under the magnifying glass. You might feel the same and fail that you life is just perfect and that your future prospects are so good that it almost frighten you. This article is then not for you. I also want you to give yourself a massive pat on the back because very few of us reached a stage where our relationships, work, financial situation and future prospects reach such a high level of perfection.

The only way you can transform a habit or activity that is not working to your benefit is to modify the current method that you are using. It is alarming how many of us endlessly bake the same old cake that flops every time without contemplating the possibility that there might be something wrong with our recipe. The easiest way to detect if a specific coping style, method, mood, action or reaction is working optimally is to check your feelings and emotions that you experience. Anger, guilt, fear, frustration, feeling of rejection or stress is usually a very clear indicator that adjustments might be beneficial.

We need to keep in mind that we can never act and react outside the perimeters of the current software stored on any specific subject. We might for a while curb our anger and frustration or display patience by using our willpower, but the dam always break after a while and our historical reaction patterns stream out and cause the usual carnage to ourselves and those that need to face the waves of possible resentment, anger and blame that we so frequently used historically to make a problem or person go away. It is important to understand where these feelings and emotions come from. They have their origin in a time and place many years ago when many enthusiastic programmers domesticated you for society. You were trained like a dog when to bite and when to run away with your tail between your legs.

You might enjoy telling others the story of your life elaborating how you have been done in, abused, neglected or dominated as a child. This might provide you with some justification for an inferior performance, but cannot produce better outcomes than the original data that you work with. There is a saying, “Garbage in – garbage out” by those that work with computers. Your computer can only produce a different outcome when the original garbage is removed or updated. The same hold true in all areas of your own life. The holds true in everything we think, do or participate in. We cannot produce a more productive or satisfying outcome while we pig headedly insists on working with old and outdated perceptions that might be based on lies and half-truths.

It is very important that you accept and understand that everyone that you meet have only their perception data bank to work with. They have, just like you tried in vain to bake their cakes with defective recipes. Many of them are totally convinced that their version of the truth is the only truth on this planet and will frequently vigorously oppose your perceptions when they fall outside their “acceptable” norm structure. Their egos convinced them years ago that anyone that fail to measure up to their perceived norm is the enemy and should be viewed with suspicion and doubt. When they question, minimize or belittle you they are almost always doing it out of ignorance. Their programmers just like yours “house trained” them to act and react in specific ways under certain circumstances. Both of you became victims of your conditioning. You might find what I am going to tell you now astounding, but must realise that both of you are fighting and opposing each other’s software. It is actually two software programs that go to war on each other that are using your bodies (predominantly voices) to play a silly command and concur virtual reality game.

You must thus always keep in mind that the only way to become effective in all your activities will be to remain locked into the NOW. You will be prompted by your ego to use any weapon that your ego can dig up on the person or situation to subdue, overcome or defeat what your ego deem the enemy. This mode of thinking throws you into a never ending downward spiral. Nothing productive can come from reshuffling yesterday’s garbage.

You begin by ACCEPTING WHAT IS immediately. It is futile and unproductive to spend hours moaning what COULD or SHOULD have been if the person for example never dropped the eggs that he undertook to pack in the fridge. It will be crazy to scream like a mad man while you explain to your son that he should never have broken the neighbour’s window while they played cricket in the garden. ACCEPTING WHAT IS saves you hours, days and sometimes a lifetime of denial. Only after you came to terms with the CURRENT state of affairs can progress be made.

It is a good idea to always make one hundred percent sure that you are working with facts. Say for example that your daughter treated her mother in a manner that caused her serious discomfort. It will be unfair and not accurate to immediately explode saying, “You ALWAYS treat your mother as if she is some kind of idiot.” Your comment cannot be hundred percent accurate. Your daughter might frequently treat her mother disrespectfully, but chances are outstanding that you are exaggerating. I would suggest that you try your level best to gather as much data as possible before you express any opinion or attempt to solve a problem.

It will be helpful if you remain focus on the CURRENT situation or event at hand. Do not make the mistake of digging up every last spec of information that is stored in the archives in your head. Remain FOCUSED on the CURRENT event and probe for solutions to manage the CURRENT event or incident. The moment you allow all the lies and half-truths and perceptions that you have stored away from early childhood surface you open a hornet’s nest. You loose your ability see things as they ARE. You become blinded by the filters that slide into place that removes your OBJECTIVITY.

Remember that every little piece of information stored in your memory banks also hold all the emotions that were active when you BELIEVED that what transpired was true. I mention believed because nothing is stored until you perceive what transpired as TRUTH. You will be swamped with an avalanche of emotions uncalled for if you allow the PAST to be triggered.

You can re-write the story of your life if you follow the above instructions. You can and will grow spiritually, emotionally and mentally when you diligently apply the formula I shared with you. There is no other formula that can produce quicker and more lasting results.

You can re-write the story of your life!

A poor attitude caused more marriages to fail and relationships to break down than all the other reasons put together.

Decisions not made today become tomorrow’s problems and disputes.

 .

Decisions not made today become tomorrow’s problems and disputes. When you ignore any problem, it is provided with time to germinate and grow.

Nothing in life that is worthwhile comes to us because we have a nice smile or a submissive attitude.

Many of us go around with a victim mentality.

You create the mental “weather” in your life.

Let us stop searching for answers and implement a few of the principles we already understand and know. Let us stop looking for new rules, laws and words of wisdom and start using the ones we already know, but never apply!

..

Print this map of consciousness to check where you are at any given moment. We often have no idea how our current mode of thinking is impacting on our ability to be happy and successful. You can also use this map when you want to check where another person (partner etc.) is at any given moment. You might discover that this person just cannot be changed or upgraded to higher levels of consciousness notwithstanding all the love and attention you give him or her.

No need to wait for an afterlife. This is achievable here and now.

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

.

If you maintain a negative limiting belief about your reality, such as a belief that this reality is insane, crazy, violent, indifferent, apathetic, etc., then your attitude will absolutely cream you. You can’t expect to get anywhere good with a belief that this reality is anything less than heavenly.

You’re not actually judging reality with such beliefs because you only have access to your limited perceptions of it, and those are 100% within your mind. So by labeling reality negatively, you’re actually labeling a part of your own mind in the same way.

That’s a trap — a huge trap that you must avoid at all costs.

The Trap of Labeling Reality Negatively

Subconsciously your mind will respond to such beliefs by crippling your self-esteem and strangling your ability to leverage your skills and talents. Some people who go this route even kill themselves in the end. It’s a completely foolhardy way to deal with reality. No good can come of it. Well… no good other than the eventual realization that it was a rather lame idea.

Once you realize that your perceptions of reality are all you have to go with, the most sensible approach is to permanently rule out the idea of casting aspersions on your reality, since you’re actually ridiculing your own perceptions, which can only make you go a bit insane. You can’t afford to do anything of the sort. That cannot possibly do any good whatsoever — it can only take you down a path of self-destruction and ruin.

What’s the alternative? Do the absolute best you can to cultivate a harmonious and supportive relationship with your reality. Settle for nothing less. If anything conflicts with your efforts there, ignore it as best you can, and refocus your attention on re-establishing a harmonious and supportive relationship with reality. You cannot get anywhere in this life if you do otherwise.

Some people have the belief that this reality is something of a proving ground between heaven (bliss) and hell (torture). They’re mistaken. When those people experience physical death, if their consciousness continues, they’ll only continue recreating more of the same flavor of experience they had here. They won’t suddenly ascend or descend just because they drop the connection to this particular physical plane. When you disconnect your computer from the Internet, it doesn’t suddenly upgrade or downgrade itself. If you want to upgrade your life experience, you must be the upgrader.

How to Take Control of Reality

This reality is actually as good as it gets. You’re already in heaven now, if you believe such a thing exists. There is nothing better. Whatever you think you can create in heaven, you can create and experience here. This doesn’t require magical powers or magical thinking. It does require taking full responsibility for how you relate to this reality. Since that relationship exists entirely within your mind, it’s under your control… but only to the extent that you believe it is. If you think that’s a Catch 22, you’re also right, since that’s just another belief. The benefit of a Catch 22, however, is that you can choose to be on the side that cheats, so no matter what happens, you win.

I maintain the belief that reality is 100% on my side. This is not based on evidence. It is based on choice. The evidence comes after the choice, not the other way around.

I even believe that reality conspires to go out of its way to help me, and I see evidence of this constantly (again, only after I chose this belief). And so this is what my experience of reality becomes. It’s full of pleasant surprises.

Today, for instance, I received an extra $900 out of the blue that I didn’t even know was coming. Reality loves to bring me gifts like this — financially, socially, experientially, etc. And because I maintain this belief, people frequently help and support me on my path. No one is going to do that for someone who thinks this reality is somehow lacking or damaged — that belief will only get you drained, beaten down, and abused.

If you seem to have a love-hate relationship with reality, then who’s the abuser? It can only be you. If you wish to continue suffering, then by all means, do so. I won’t stop you, especially when you do it in an entertaining way.

What if the whole time you’ve been here, reality was conspiring to bring you the most heavenly experiences imaginable, and all this time it’s been waiting for you to get with the program? Reality was functioning perfectly — within established parameters. But perhaps you’ve been slacking off in the imagination department. Have you been dwelling on what you’d love to experience and summoning it, or have you been muddling your mind with thoughts of perpetuating more of what you don’t want?

If you love what you’re experiencing right now, you can just keep observing that, and it will self-perpetuate; if that’s you, you’re already golden. But you can’t afford to let your mind dwell on your observations and their extended predictions if you’ve already established the pattern of creating experiences you don’t desire to continue. If you want to break the pattern of what you’re already experiencing, you need to shift your energy from observation and prediction to unfettered imagination and creation. Essentially that’s a time management challenge — spend less time observing and more time imagining.

Have you thought about what heaven might actually be like? It’s surely not all harps and angels and clouds like you might see depicted in a movie. That might be fun for a few hours, but then you’d be bored for eternity.

This Is Heaven

Here’s how I define heaven for me. Heaven is a state of existence that let’s me experience the following:

Beam – Enjoy my life immensely; feel deep appreciation and gratitude for this experience; laugh and smile

Harmonize – Maintain a deeply positive, loving, and supportive relationship with my reality

Shine – Develop my skills, talents, and habits to genius level; shamelessly express and share my creativity and brilliance

Explore – Search, study, travel, learn, and discover, guided by my curiosity, desires, and intuition

Open – Open my heart; actively invite and experience delicious connections that I desire

Grow – Become more capable and free; release and shed fears and limitations

Prosper – Create and enjoy tremendous prosperity and abundance

No need to wait for an afterlife. This is achievable here and now.

What’s your version of heaven? Do you have to wait till you’re dead to experience it? What makes you think death will be any better than this anyway? Would it really be easier to create heaven in some astral realm vs. right here, right now? What are you waiting for?
