One of the biggest mistakes you can make is to expect objective advice from family and friends when you need assistance guidance. Your well meaning friends and family tend to say the things you want to hear. They almost always take your side in disputes and support or minimize the possible contribution that you made that led to whatever you are confronted with. They will tell you that they noticed a long time ago that your idiot boss is unfair and always takes all the honour while he blames you and your fellow workers for the mistakes and losses. Your family might not be aware that you have been really sloppy lately and arrived late for work almost every second day. If you have a dispute with your girlfriend some family members might mention that they noticed a long time ago that your girlfriend is nothing more than a gold digger and trouble maker. You generally cannot get honest and sincere guidance from individuals that are emotionally attached to you. It is risky to consult a friend or family member on financial or relationship problems. I have seen this disaster in the making many times in my life. Your family member or friend will find it virtually impossible to remain objective. They more often than not have no training or qualifications regarding the matter at hand. It will be silly to talk to your brother about your problem relationship if he is now married to his third wife. It will even be more ludicrous to consult a friend that is bankrupt about investments and money management. All the above time wasting activities will amplify your RESISTANCE and could turn a small problem into a fully fledged disaster. I read somewhere about a woman that consulted someone about a dream that disturbed her very much. She explained to the dream interpreter that she was travelling on a train. The train suddenly came to a halt and stop between somewhere and nowhere. The driver got out and forced her to the locomotive and instructed her to take over. He took his stuff, jumped off the train and soon disappeared into the night. The girl panicked and asked some of her family members, friends and even strangers to take over driving the train. She fortunately at that moment woke up and felt very relieved when she discovered that it was just a dream. The dream consulted looked at the woman for a while and then told her that she is living her life in a RESISTANCE mode. She explained that it would appear as if she fades under pressure and often avoid taking on a leadership role in the various areas of her life. She continued and explained that the time has come for her to stop living her life RESISTING things that seems to have an unpredictable outcome. She must take control and follow the tracks that will soon become visible once she starts moving forward. The rails of her dream train will take her to her desired destination, but will remain stationary until she takes responsibility, become accountable and take action. Our RESISTANCE often prevent us from experiencing the love, joy, success and benefits that is waiting for us once we move beyond our comfort zone. Nobody is going to drag you kicking and screaming into the future or towards a treasure that is within your reach. You will have to take control of your dream train my friend and start putting RESISTANCE behind you. You will soon hear the pleasant sound of the wheels of your train of life singing on the hard surface of the steel tracks that vanish over the horizon if you are courageous enough to release the RESISTANCE break that is currently anchoring your life in a “not going anywhere soon” position.

I suggest that you do two ten minute visualisation exercises today where you see in your mind’s eye how you take control of your train of life. Experience the doubt for a moment and then allow the exhilaration to flood your system when you get into that machine and get that train gliding along towards your goals and dreams. Do not allow any RESTRICTIONS to dampen your happy and victorious spirit when you play out this powerful movie in your mind. Sing if you feel like it or jump with joy when you feel the power and exhilaration of this massive machine that you mastered. I will continue this series tomorrow.

We are a spectator while we travel in the train of life.

The years slip by like the landscape when you look through the window of a high speed train. We are a spectator while we travel in the train of life. We might think that we have free will and that our lives and destiny is unfolding as it should. This is only partially true. Every choice we make is founded in the experience and perception data base in our heads. The quality of our choices cannot be wiser than the quality of the knowledge software that we use as our operating system. Choices we make are often based on old and outdated knowledge and dogma that our great grandfather passed on to us, his offspring. Our religious, political and race perceptions are predominantly based on ideas and philosophies formed a long, long time ago. Who manufactured the God perception that you treasure and pray to daily? Primitive man developed a perception of some kind of invisible God that punish or reward them. These defective perceptions and superstitions are still used today. You are the one that reward and punish yourself with the choices you make. The law of cause and effect initially confused as a tool used by God still operate perfectly today. Today might be a perfect day to get off the high speed train of life that run on the rails of superstitions and perceptions. You are not a helpless victim. You are the choice maker my friend. You reap the rewards of the better quality choices you make and experience discomfort for the less acceptable choices. See things as they are and stop looking at your life through the filters of superstition. The force called God by many need nothing from you.
