Very few of us understand that our character is nothing more than a range of roles that we are playing on the stage of life.

When you arrived on this plane you were already loaded with some software. You have a unique combination of your father and mother’s personalities that is embedded in your DNA. You also have your own “personality” that you developed during previous incarnations. You developed certain character traits during previous incarnations that are unique to you. You project who you “think you are” to everyone that come into your space. You are also exposed to a wide range of perceptions via your parents, the rest of the family, teachers and preachers. All this data is also embedded in your DNA.

Your body have a range of energy receptacles and transmission ports that is spread throughout your body. There is energy flowing through your system all the time. You thus have a unique frequency code that is broadcasted outside your body in the form of an aura. The collective energy that drives your body forms a shield or filter outside your body. There are some gifted individuals that can see this energy field. This energy “bubble” that encases your body contains all the data (previous incarnations, parent’s DNA plus new conditioning that took place). Most people then experience life through this shield and act out the perceptions embedded in this field. Many of us then concluded that we are our history and our personality. We then “spontaneously” and automatically slip into the many roles that we stored in this field and act and react according to the scripts we gathered (often over many lifetimes). This is how we get stuck in the same old habitual reaction patterns. This is also the reason why many of us endlessly duplicate our actions and reactions. Very few of us question the various roles that we play on the stage of life.

Actors take their makeup and characters off when they leave the stage. We in turn stay in character. Very few of us understand that our character is nothing more than a range of roles that we are playing on the stage of life. We think we are the character in all the stories that we drag with us from early childhood. We become mad, sad, and aggressive or cue. We sulk and we fight, we dance and jump with joy or fall into a deep depression when specific emotions are triggered. The triggers in our life can be our thoughts, but it can also be something we detect via our five senses. I hope you notice from the above that we often remain in our sometimes silly little roles while the days, weeks and often a lifetime slip away.

It is only those that wake up and grasp the above that escape from this perpetual theatre. Only those that understand that they can create new and more effective roles for themselves can escape the often deadly and endless cycles that they live and die in. No growth or wisdom can penetrate the energy field that I mentioned earlier. No modifications can be made to our perceived perceptions without a concerted effort from our side. We must change and modify the recipes that we use or endlessly confront the same outcomes we achieve historically.

How do you modify the software in your head? You do this by finding a comfortable chair and where you can close your eyes and for a short period of time can re-write the scripts that fall short of your expectations. Just relax and close your eyes. First look at yourself in your old role. Decide what you are not happy with. Don’t be critical and avoid going on a guilt trip. Become an impartial observer. Simply observe your performances and notice the things you do and say that often sabotage you success and happiness.

Now visualise yourself under the same circumstances acting and reacting in a manner that will make you happy and produce the outcomes you desire. Observe how you look and feel in your new role. Feel the joy, excitement and stimulation that the character in your mind’s eye must be experiencing. Let your imagination run wild and free. Do not allow any of your old fears to contaminate your creation. Know that there are no limitations in this dimension. There is no lack and no shortage of anything in this dimension. Then open your eyes and start acting according to your new script. You will be amazed if you repeat this exercise for a few days how you will begin to manifest things, experiences and breakthroughs that you never thought possible.

Please feel free to question me on this technique.

How your life unfolded to date came about via the choices you made.

How your life unfolded to date came about via the choices you made.

You incarnated after you chose you’re the parents, culture and the vocation that you (the real spiritual you) want to experience. These factors became your launching pad for this time around at “Earth School”. The factors mentioned above became the anchors to the “role” you selected for yourself. Your life at earth school made many twists and turns and you possibly endure an endless range of learning experience to date, but the main pillars remained in place. You selected your current parents, culture, vocation and heritage because you knew that it would provide you with many opportunities to experience and learn about the factors that could speed up your spiritual evolution. How your life unfolded to date came about via the choices you made. You are not only exposed to your own family and the various roles that they selected for themselves, but also to the collective consciousness of everyone that daily cross your path. Can you see the endless number of opportunities you have daily to “practice and master” this game called life? Each individual in the family you chose and each person that crosses your path became your teachers. They present you with wonderful opportunities to grow and upgrade your personality. You and everyone else developed a personality over many incarnations. These personalities (your and other’s egos) are not a real reflection who you. You need to wake up to this vital fact if you want to ultimately re-unite with the source.

Who is the most awesome person today? Apply the message in this post and change into a manifestation machine.

1. The operations of the mind are produced by two parallel modes of activity, the one conscious, and the other subconscious. Professor Davidson says: “He who thinks to illuminate the whole range of mental action by the light of his own consciousness is not unlike the one who should go about to illuminate the universe with a rushlight.”

2.
The subconscious’ logical processes are carried on with a certainty and regularity which would be impossible if there existed the possibility of error. Our mind is so designed that it prepares for us the most important foundations of cognition, whilst we have not the slightest apprehension of the modus operandi.

3.
The subconscious soul, like a benevolent stranger, works and makes provision for our benefit, pouring only the mature fruit into our lap; thus ultimate analysis of thought processes shows that the subconscious is the theatre of the most important mental phenomena.

4.
It is through the subconscious that Shakespeare must have perceived, without effort, great truths which are hidden from the conscious mind of the student; that Phidias fashioned marble and bronze; that Raphael painted Madonnas and Beethoven composed symphonies.

5.
Ease and perfection depend entirely upon the degree in which we cease to depend upon the consciousness; playing the piano, skating, operating the typewriter, the skilled trades, depend for their perfect execution on the process of the sub-conscious mind. The marvel of playing a brilliant piece on the piano, while at the same time conducting a vigorous conversation, shows the greatness of our subconscious powers.

6.
We are all aware how dependent we are upon the subconscious, and the greater, the nobler, the more brilliant our thoughts are, the more it is obvious to ourselves that the origin lies beyond our ken. We find ourselves endowed with tact, instinct, sense of the beautiful in art, music, etc., or whose origin or dwelling place we are wholly unconscious.

7.
The value of the subconscious is enormous; it inspires us; it warns us; it furnishes us with names, facts and scenes from the storehouse of memory. It directs our thoughts, tastes, and accomplishes tasks so intricate that no conscious mind, even if it had the power, has the capacity for.

8.
We can walk at will; we can raise the arm whenever we choose to do so; we can give our attention through eye or ear to any subject at pleasure. On the other hand, we cannot stop our heartbeats nor the circulation of the blood, nor the growth of stature, nor the formation of nerve and muscle tissue, nor the building of the bones, nor many other important vital processes.

9. If we compare these two sets of action, the one decreed by the will of the moment, and the other proceeding in majestic, rhythmic course, subject to no vascillation, but constant at every moment, we stand in awe of the latter, and ask to have the mystery explained. We see at once that these are the vital processes of our physical life, and we cannot avoid the inference that these all-important functions are designedly withdrawn from the domain of our outward will with its variations and transitions, and placed under the direction of a permanent and dependable power within us.

10.
Of these two powers, the outward and changeable has been termed the “Conscious Mind,” or the “Objective Mind” (dealing with outward objects). The interior power is called the “Subconscious Mind,” or the “Subjective Mind,” and besides its work on the mental plane it controls the regular functions which make physical life possible.

11.
It is necessary to have a clear understanding of their respective functions on the mental plane, as well as of certain other basic principles. Perceiving and operating through the five physical senses, the conscious mind deals with the impressions and objects of the outward life.

12.
It has the faculty of discrimination, carrying with it the responsibility of choice. It has the power of reasoning–whether inductive, deductive, analytical or syllogistic–and this power may be developed to a high degree. It is the seat of the will with all the energies that flow therefrom.

13.
Not only can it impress other minds, but it can direct the subconscious mind. In this way the conscious mind becomes the responsible ruler and guardian of the subconscious mind. It is this high function which can completely reverse conditions in your life.

14.
It is often true that conditions of fear, worry, poverty, disease, inharmony and evils of all kinds dominate us by reason of false suggestions accepted by the unguarded subconscious mind. All this the trained conscious mind can entirely prevent by its vigilant protective action. It may properly be called “the watchman at the gate” of the great subconscious domain.

15.
One writer has expressed the chief distinction between the two phases of mind thus: “Conscious mind is reasoning will. Subconscious mind is instinctive desire, the result of past reasoning will.”

16.
The subconscious mind draws just and accurate inferences from premises furnished from outside sources. Where the premise is true, the subconscious mind reaches a faultless conclusion, but, where the premise or suggestion is an error, the whole structure falls. The subconscious mind does not engage in the process of proving. It relies upon the conscious mind, “the watchman at the gate,” to guard it from mistaken impressions.

17. Receiving any suggestions as true, the subconscious mind at once proceeds to act thereon in the whole domain of its tremendous field of work. The conscious mind can suggest either truth or error. If the latter, it is at the cost of wide-reaching peril to the whole being.

18.
The conscious mind ought to be on duty during every waking hour. When the “watchman” is “off guard,” or when its calm judgment is suspended, under a variety of circumstances, then the subconscious mind is unguarded and left open to suggestion from all sources. During the wild excitement of panic, or during the height of anger, or the impulses of the irresponsible mob, or at any other time of unrestrained passion, the conditions are most dangerous. The sub- conscious mind is then open to the suggestion of fear, hatred, selfishness, greed, self- depreciation and other negative forces, derived from surrounding persons or circumstances. The result is usually unwholesome in the extreme, with effects that may endure to distress it for a long time. Hence, the great importance of guarding the subconscious mind from false impressions.

19.
The subconscious mind perceives by intuition. Hence, its processes are rapid. It does not wait for the slow methods of conscious reasoning. In fact, it can not employ them.

20.
The subconscious mind never sleeps, never rests, any more than does your heart, or your blood. It has been found that by plainly stating to the subconscious mind certain specific things to be accomplished, forces are set in operation that lead to the result desired. Here, then, is a source of power which places us in touch with Omnipotence. Here in is a deep principle which is well worth our most earnest study.

21.
The operation of this law is interesting. Those who put it into operation find that when they go out to meet the person with whom they anticipate a difficult interview, something has been there before them and dissolved the supposed differences; everything is changed; all is harmonious; they find that when some difficult business problem presents itself they can afford to make delay and something suggests the proper solution; everything is properly arranged; in fact, those who have learned to trust the subconscious find that they have infinite resources at their command.

22.
The subconscious mind is the seat of our principles and our aspirations. It is the fount of our artistic and altruistic ideals. These instincts can only be overthrown by an elaborate and gradual process of undermining the innate principles.

23.
The subconscious mind can not argue controversially. Hence, if it has accepted wrong suggestions, the sure method of overcoming them is by the use of a strong counter suggestion, frequently repeated, which the mind must accept, thus eventually forming new and healthy habits of thought and life, for the subconscious mind is the seat of Habit. That which we do over and over becomes mechanical; it is no longer an act of judgment, but has worn its deep grooves in the subconscious mind. This is favorable for us if the habit be wholesome and right. If it be harmful, and wrong, the remedy is to recognize the omnipotence of the subconscious mind and suggest present actual freedom. The subconscious being creative and one with our divine source will at once create the freedom suggested.

24. To sum up: The normal functions of the subconscious on the physical side have to do with the regular and vital processes, with the preservation of life and the restoration of health; with the care of offspring, which includes an instinctive desire to preserve all life and improve conditions generally.

25.
On the mental side, it is the storehouse of memory; it harbors the wonderful thought messengers, who work, unhampered by time or space; it is the fountain of the practical initiative and constructive forces of life: It is the seat of habit.

26.
On the spiritual side, it is the source of ideals, of aspiration, of the imagination, and is the channel through which we recognize our Divine Source, and in proportion as we recognize this divinity do we come into an understanding of the source of power.

27.
Some one may ask: “How can the subconscious change conditions?” The reply is, because the subconscious is a part of the Universal Mind and a part must be the same in kind and quality as the whole; the only difference is one of degree. The whole, as we know, is creative, in fact, it is the only creator there is, consequently, we find that mind is creative, and as thought is the only activity which the mind possesses thought must necessarily be creative also.

28.
But we shall find that there is a vast difference between simply thinking, and directing our thought consciously, systematically and constructively; when we do this we place our mind in harmony with the Universal Mind, we come in tune with the Infinite, we set in operation the mightiest force in existence, the creative power of the Universal Mind. This, as everything else, is governed by natural law, and this law is the “Law of attraction,” which is that Mind is creative, and will automatically correlate with its object and bring it into manifestation.

29.
Last week I gave you an exercise for the purpose of securing control of the physical body; if you have accomplished this you are ready to advance. This time you will begin to control your thought. Always take the same room, the same chair, and the same position, if possible. In some cases it is not convenient to take the same room, in this case simply make the best use of such conditions as may be available. Now be perfectly still as before, but inhibit all thought; this will give you control over all thoughts of care, worry and fear, and will enable you to entertain only the kind of thoughts you desire. Continue this exercise until you gain complete mastery.

30. You will not be able to do this for more that a few moments at a time, but the exercise is valuable, because it will be a very practical demonstration of the great number of thoughts which are constantly trying to gain access to your mental world.

YOU!

All the wisdom and insight in the world is worthless if you lack courage and heart.

THIS IS A LECTURE THAT I GAVE ON THE VITAL ROLE COURAGE PLAYS IN ALL ASPECTS OF OUR LIVES. YOU CANNOT ACHIEVE SUCCESS IN ANY AREA OF YOUR LIFE IF YOU LACK IN THIS DEPARTMENT. BY READING THIS DOCUMENT DAILY YOU WILL GRADUALLY RE-PROGRAM YOUR SUBCONSCIOUS MIND WITH POWERFUL NEW SOFTWARE THAT WILL AUTOMATICALLY KICK IN WHEN FACED WITH POTENTIAL TROUBLE SOURCES. – RENE

All the wisdom and insight in the world is worthless if you lack courage and heart. What are you waiting for? Develop a “do it now” attitude or no progress will be made. Finish all the unfinished cycles that you have been sidestepping for so long now. Make a “to do list” right now and then do what needs to be done to bring predictability back into your life. Become a champion today. Walk forward even when you do not see a bridge in front of you.

You may not have all the answers or do not even understand the questions, but must continue moving forward if you want to overcome and succeed. When faced with a problem, walk forward and trust that the solution or answers will be revealed to you. The most difficult part of your journey over the bridge of life is not the actual journey, but to gather enough courage to walk forward even when the future seems unclear to you.

Courage gives you the energy and vision to penetrate the core of anything that might block your way. Without courage you miss out on the best things in life. A lack of courage isolates you and makes you a prisoner of your own fear. Courage is the key to success. The fool is so afraid that he might make a mistake. He will rather do nothing than run the risk of making a mistake. The man of wisdom gathers quality information and then takes firm and decisive action. He does not wait for things to happen, he makes them happen.

It is easy to identify a life-enhancer type of person. He always makes you feel encouraged and enriched after contact with him. He gives you hope in your hour of need and will stand by you in the darkest times of your life. Even when you are not there, he will defend your honour and stand up for you against unfair or uncalled for criticism. He enriches people’s lives and brings out the best in them. He always allows you to be just yourself when you are with him. He does not leave you with a feeling that there are strings attached to every thing he does for you.

Learn to identify self-defeating excuses. It is easy to find an excuse when something unpleasant needs your urgent attention. It takes courage to do what needs to be done notwithstanding the unpleasantness of the task. Most problems can be solved and even turned to your advantage if you courageously step forward and do something constructive about them. Most people try to live in the present moment with a bag of beliefs that are at least twenty years outdated. You must be courageous enough to cast out some of your old and outdated belief systems. No growth can take place and no progress can be made while you run your train of life on the same tracks (belief system) that you used since early childhood. New tracks will have to be put down and willingness must be shown for innovative ideas and perspectives.

Most people wait for motivation or passion to come from some outside source. They hope that things will change or come right in a magical manner. People tend to live their lives on an “effect” basis and lack the courage to become “cause”. When you remain in the “effect mode”, you can never take control of anything. You become a helpless victim. You are not in control of your destiny while you ask, “How high” when people say “jump” to you.

Something that can make our lives extremely unpleasant is when we lack the courage to admit our mistakes. If you can learn to bring closure to unfinished and open-ended cycles, your life usually takes a turn for the better. The only way you are sometimes able to get closure on a problem is to admit that you have made a mistake. Stop waiting for others to earn your approval and love. Go out and show your love for others unconditionally. It is your fear that is holding you back. Take off your protective gear and show your feelings my friend or you will never experience real happiness and true love. It takes courage to expose yourself to potential rejection and failure, but champions do not succumb to their fears!

The fastest way to become isolated is to continually moan, cry and feel sorry for yourself. People’s compassion soon turns to resentment. Win people’s respect with your courage and with your appreciation for what you have notwithstanding your apparent disposition. The fool jumps to conclusions. This starts a whole series of fantasies and dreams. Delay your decisions until you have all the facts. The less informed makes impulsive decisions and do not have the courage to turn back or cut his losses.

The fool often views himself as a talented peacemaker. Some people might think that such individuals are displaying extraordinary courage, but a wise person will view such person as intrusive and idiotic. Be very careful when you attempt to mediate between two warring parties. You could end up dead or become their handy scapegoat.

The fool swims against the stream to prove his manhood, display his courage or just to be different. A wise person understands that you often find yourself in situations where you will achieve little by taking on a group with perceptions cast in stone. Never swim against the tide just to make a point or to solicit attention. The problem with boldness is that nobody can make you brave or stand in for you in the game of life. You must face the unknown on your own. You must push back your fear of the unknown if you want to become a leader and not remain a follower for the rest of your life. If you feel that you are not in control of your life I suggest that you take a hard look at your courage levels. We suppress deep fears and strong aspirations for the best part of our lives.

The wise man confronts his fears and pursues his aspirations. A shallow well rarely produces water. You need to dig deep to expose the courage and purity of your soul. The fool is satisfied with the shallow and the superficial. You can heal or cause distress with your tongue. You can create pleasure or pain with this powerful tool. You build respect or contempt by what you utter. Bite your tongue if you feel the urge to degrade or belittle someone. You can make someone’s day by just showing sincere interest and by uttering a few words of compassion and encouragement.

Intent is what drives people forward. Intent is the only thing that can minimise risk and that can remove vulnerability. Without intent, you become ineffective and dull. It is intent that powers the brave and that takes average people and make them champions. It is intent that makes people rich and influential. Intent must not be confused with thought. Thought without intent and action is a total waste of time. It is impossible to be independent and intimate at the same time. How many marriages and relationships have not flushed down the toilet because one or both parties insist on living a physical or mental independent life. Only when you are brave and open enough to express and show your true feelings will you merge and bond with the one you love.

The fool denies himself many things. He thinks that denying himself is brave or noble. Wisdom is to understand that it is foolish to take yourself out of the game. You need to make sure that the reasons why you are denying yourself certain things are founded on a solid foundation. Most acts of denial are based on rituals.

There are fanatical people that will give their lives for their cause. They strap bombs on their bodies, die with the name of their god on their lips and a smile on their faces. Their “brothers” view them as heroes and martyrs when they “successfully” kill innocent civilians. They use their bodies or planes as missiles. This obvious act of “bravery” illustrates to us to what extent the mind can be influenced and manipulated.

You can remove anything from your playing field of life in the blink of an eye. You can remove a toxic person instantaneously if you are brave enough to make such a choice. The reason why people find it so difficult to remove or cut things from their world is because they try and understand the world of the toxic person. You will never fully understand the world of the toxic person. The less informed thinks that he could make a difference in the world of a toxic person. Any change that you make in the world of the toxic person will soon again be overgrown by the weeds of his own egotistical superciliousness.

A true warrior is able to face the unknown without paralysing fear in his heart. He uses the fear that he feels to motivate him into action. The only way to reach your objectives is to travel through the unknown zone. A warrior is not afraid of the unknown because he is not afraid of potential problems. What is the worst that can happen when you move beyond your comfort zone? The warrior accepted death and as such embrace life. The ordinary person is so afraid of death (physical or otherwise) that he hides in his comfort zone. Can you think what the world would have looked like if no pioneers came before us and pushed back their fear of the unknown?

A true warrior is not a victim. His power is hidden in his heart and mind. An invisible force drives him forward and upward. Victims seem to lack the energy that champions have. Victims allow doubt and fear to drain the power and persistence from his heart and mind. A warrior is prepared to die for his cause while a victim fears death and falls apart when faced with adversity. A true warrior fights each battle as if his last. The warrior that loses his fear of death fights like a hero. He is focused in the “now” and will stop at nothing in his attempt to reach his desired objectives.

Losers allow their minds to become occupied with what might happen and is easily defeated. A wise person takes responsibility for his actions. He makes choices without fear because he is not afraid to make mistakes and to take responsibility. The fool is so afraid of mistakes and to take responsibility that he does nothing at all. Accustom yourself with the people that you are forced to deal, work or live with. The more you know about them the easier it will be for you to deal with them. Make it your business to know their fears and understand their aspirations. How can you show compassion and insight if you are so self-focused that you become blind to the need of others? Become outcome focused. Make sure that you know what outcome you desire and then actively pursue this desired outcome. You cannot focus on your fears and expect to achieve your desired outcomes.

Do you want to own the magic key to success and problem solving? I am sure you do. The magic key that makes all your dreams a reality is decision making. Only when you decide to take, your first bold steps toward your desired outcome will your life start moving forward again. Champions know that they must confront things and people if they want to succeed. Losers know that they can run, but will sooner or later run out of time or space. You must be able to confront your “zone of fear” with a positive attitude. Champions also experience the cold hand of fear, but they still walk forward with bold and calculated steps.

Check your boat of life today and see if you can spot some of the negative anchors that have been keeping you stationary. They are usually anchors that are founded on fear. Fear of failure and pain is at the root of most of the anchors in our lives. The moment we spot the slightest possibility of potential pain, we abandon our journey and allow our fear to keep us in a stationary position. Conmen use greed, fear and anticipation to influence their victims. We often read how intelligent and rational people are conned into fantasy investments. Their greed and “something for nothing” attitude blind them and put their ability to think in a rational and objective manner on hold.

Expectation is a powerful tool. Expectation if wrongly used can destroy you. Courage gives you the energy and vision to penetrate the core of anything that might block your way. Without courage you miss out on the best things in life. A lack of courage isolates you and makes you a prisoner or your own fear. Decisions can always be modified or adapted later. Fear of failure puts your life on hold and prevents you from making quality decisions. It is our inability to make our world predictable that keeps us on our toes. Your attitude decides how you manage your world. A person with wisdom finds uncertainty stimulating and exciting. Uncertainty and unpredictability becomes the spice of his life.

The fool plays historical failure and fear videos in his mind and in this manner rob himself of the fun and challenge of the moment. It is vital to remain focused in the “now”. If you allow your mind to get stuck in yesterday or tomorrow, you will live a painful and fear filled life. You are not your history and do have the opportunity each day to add a new and successful chapter to your “book of life.” Know when you are pushing your luck too far. Quit while you are ahead. There is a time to stay and a time to go. Summer is always followed by winter. Do not ignore or fear the winter period. Cut your losses or take your current profits and prepare for winter. There is a time to spend and a time to accumulate, a time to say hello and a time to say goodbye.

Knowledge is the key to compassion. Knowledge is the key to “good luck”. Knowledge lifts the veil of uncertainty. Knowledge makes opportunity visible. Knowledge arrests fear. Knowledge can be seen as the light in the tunnel of darkness that the ignorant reside in. Knowledge teaches you the importance of respect, awareness, fear management and confidence. You can never be fully defeated when you master the art of information gathering. Learn to detect a good opportunity in its infancy. Learn to look deeper and wider at things in life. The real opportunities are sometimes hidden under a thin layer of sand. It is fear of failure and loss that prevents people from reaching their full potential. The time to get involved in a new opportunity is when it is still in its infancy. The fool wants to bet on a horse after the outcome of the race is already known.

Most of us do nothing about people that contaminate us with their toxic attitudes. We allow them to make us their toxic dump. Will you allow me to walk into your home and dump a lot of garbage on your new carpet? Why then allow people to dump their toxic garbage filled with guilt, fear and prejudice in your mind? Never allow any person to rush you into important decisions by using fear of loss techniques. Rather let an opportunity pass you by than pay for a mistake for the rest of your life. Nothing worthwhile or legal will perish overnight. The biggest mistakes made can all be traced back to rushed impulsive decisions, made with limited data while under pressure. Never go around advertising your fears and worries. There are vultures waiting for you to show vulnerability. You live in the jungle of life and must feed or become food yourself.

Nothing can stop you from turning that dial on your radio of life. The only person that stands between you and a whole new life, filled to the brim with new experiences is you. It is your fear of potential pain and discomfort that is locking you into one station in life. You must go and search for pleasure and success if they are in short supply in your life. You must retune you radio of life on a regular basis if you want business success. There was once a dog that cried bitterly. When his master asked him what was wrong he shyly told him that he is sitting on his testicles and was to lazy to change position.

One of the biggest attributes of a true warrior is his patience. He can wait for the right moment for days, weeks or even years. He is never in a hurry to do battle. It is fear of failure and the potential of a wrong outcome that causes losers to get panic attacks. The fool rush into disputes and war ill prepared. Only when you view problems as the teachers and not the assassins of your potential will you lose your fear of failure. Problems and mistakes must never be viewed as fatal. They are a wonderful support systems that reminds us when modification is needed to our plan or lifestyle.

Silence puts more fear into the heart of your enemy than anything else you can do. When you ignore their threats and pretend as if they do not even exist you force them to make strategic mistakes. Take control by doing nothing. Wisdom is to know when to take rapid and decisive action and when to give silent treatment. Stop taking people, your goals and projects so seriously. I found that a focused approach and a “no fear of loss” attitude take you a long way towards a successful and happy life.

How can you enjoy your successes if you never knew failure? Give things your best shot and go for gold every time. You will win some and lose some, but you will feel alive and part of the game of life. Learn to say, “so what” when things fail to work out as expected. Learn to see the humour in your failures. Remember when you cry, you cry alone. Stop waiting for others to earn your approval and love. Go out and show your love for others unconditionally. It is your fear that is holding you back. Take off your protective gear and show your feelings my friend or you will never experience real happiness and true love. It takes courage to expose yourself to potential rejection and failure, but champions do not succumb to their fear!

The average person seeks comfort in selfishness. The selfish person attempts to arrange, manipulate or steer everything to his own advantage. Compassion is only possible when you are able to suppress your own selfishness for long enough so that you give your senses a chance to detect the needs of others. Selfishness is driven by fear and isolates you or drives people away from you. The biggest enemy we have is well hidden in our minds. This enemy is doubt. The moment we begin to doubt anything fear kicks in. Doubt is the fear factory of the mind. Doubt can be viewed as an enemy or a friend. When doubt sets in it is usually just an indicator that we need additional data. It has no power of its own. The best way to overcome doubt is to ask questions.

The biggest mountain for losers to climb is their own negative attitude. They are usually prisoners of their past mistakes. They are so afraid of failure that they avoid most challenges. Winners do not fear new opportunities or challenges. They learn from their mistakes, but never allow past mistakes to remove their motivation to grasp fresh opportunities with both hands. The champions, winners, men and women with influence are all people that learned to manage their fear of potential pain. They are all people that finally realised that the fear zone is overcrowded with millions of mediocre people. The citizens of the mediocre zone hates people that dare to go outside this “low risk” comfort zone. The reason why they hate these people is because these men and women show them up as potential losers and security freaks.

The fool complicates his life and the lives of others severely with his obsession to look good while working on projects. His fear of failure and how others will perceive him changes a light duty task or small problem into a major project. The wise man calmly proceeds and does what is necessary without adding the burden of how he will be perceived by others to his workload. The fool lives in fear that he might make a mistake and as such do as little as possible. The wise man is not afraid to make a mistake. He is aware that the only people that never make mistakes are those that are already dead. The fool rushes in where angels fear to tread. Some might view such individual as some kind of hero, but people with insight and experience will perceive such persons as unstable and impulsive.

Moderation, rational and logical thinking might not be that spectacular, but could ensure a longer and more successful life. The idiot allows people to bluff him into giving up his birthright. Fear of loss is often used to gain the upper hand. Never allow any person to force you to make panic decisions. Any choice made with fear of loss in your heart will pan out a disaster. Rather pass on so-called opportunities if you are not allowed enough time to make a proper evaluation of its merit. The less informed allows fear of loss to force him into making poor rushed choices. A wise man does not allow any person to use this tried and tested weapon against him. It is sometimes better to let go of something or someone than to fall for a false sense of urgency.

The less informed reveals personal or sensitive information in an attempt to buy friendship or compassion. When you express your fears, you show people how to unlock the door to your mind. Once you express your anger, you reveal what makes you vulnerable. When you reveal your dreams or goals, they can be stolen from you. The less informed tends to laugh when he should be crying and cry when he should double up with laughter. Real compassion and focus can help you to tune into the mood, needs and fears of people. How can you act in the most appropriate manner if you show very little interest in decoding people’s circumstances? The one thing that most people fear is change. Visualize what the world would have looked like if no changes occurred in the last thousand years. Change should never fill your heart with fear. The only way you can take control of your life is by learning to bring closure to outstanding events.

Our fear or egos prevent us from confronting potentially unpleasant situations. We find all kinds of excuses to justify our inability to take care of business. When you study the game of life, you soon discover that hesitation usually amplifies your problems. A small problem that could have been taken care of with minimal discomfort can spin right out of control when neglected. The real winners in life have the ability to accurately preempt the way things might unfold. They never allow fear to contaminate their judgement. They are able to spot the subliminal patterns or trends that most people overlook during disputes or other activities.

The sooner you learn that nothing in life is certain the sooner you will gain control of your fears. A fool spend his time looking for a trouble free zone while the champion accepts the setbacks in his stride and get on with the game of life. The storms that pulverise the land and nature are nothing compared to the inner storms that are tearing us humans apart. The main reason for this bad inner weather is the fear we have of outcomes. Fear should be a companion that motivates us to act. When we stop acting and start worrying massive storms starts lashing the inner shores of our souls in an attempt to force us to take decisive action. The true warrior has no fear because he is not focused on the potential outcome of the activity. It is the fear of a painful or wrong outcome that makes the ordinary person less effective. You tend to make mistakes when you become outcome focused. You are so afraid of a wrong outcome that you contribute to your own demise.

You need to focus on the current moment once you have decided what outcome you desire. There are people that are forever in the planning phase with everything. They spend so much time planning that they do not have any time left for productive and persistent action. Over-planning is usually motivated by fear. Planning is a good thing, but then it should be followed with constructive and urgent action. The wise man adapts his plan as things unfold while the fool panics because no provision were made for the unforeseen. There is an inner world in each one of us. We only reveal to others what we want them to see. In moments of intense love, anger or fear the invisible becomes visible. Never take a person on face value. He is only showing you what he thinks you need or want to see. The evil is often hidden in the rooms right at the back.

Things only develop an importance when we allocate enough weight to them. We must give each thing a fair weight if we want to retain our balance. When we master fear of loss it loosens its grip on our hearts and minds. Tolerance and the ability not to take everything personal can extend your life. You can attempt to absorb all pain and doubt or you can allow it to harmlessly pass you by. Only the less informed thinks that he is able to withstand the impact of an unhappy and furious bull (doubt and fear) indefinitely. The trained bullfighter allows the bull to spend his energy by chasing a red cape. True warriors see each activity as his possible last. He does not complain or worry about potential outcomes. He is fully focus on the task at hand and he is not afraid to lose. He fights like a champion because his intentions are pure and not tarnished by fear of what might happen. You improve your chances of success many times if you play the game of life to the best of your ability one moment at a time.

Vision and not fear motivate groups and teams when they prepare for battle. When a team can see and feel their collective goal, they succeed almost every time. A team without a clear vision or objective reminds you of a heard of sheep without a leader. Passion and persistence drive the champions in times of great tribulation. Doubt and fear sink the boats of the fear afflicted. We are often faced with changes that leave us feeling quite uncomfortable. Change is not the problem. How we respond to and perceive such change can dictate how it will affect us in our work and play. Change is part of growth and progress. Why people fear change is because they feel threatened by the unknown. We are so petrified of potential pain that we never really visit far off lands or exploit our full potential. Many of us remain in our safe harbour (comfort zone) and foolishly think that our fear anchors will protect us against potential disasters.

The biggest disaster is not the actual storms in life, but the fear we have of getting hurt physically or emotionally. We keep our negative anchors in position even during sunshine and good weather. How can you fly like an eagle while your leg is anchored in a trap? We give away or sell things all day long. We give away or sell our time, money, effort and loyalty everyday of our lives. The less informed must still master the art of knowing when to give and when to sell. When you suffer with fear of loss you are more inclined to give things away in an attempt to make your anxiety subside. The wise man gives unconditionally when he feels like it and insists on payment when appropriate. We have four enemies that we must master if we want to be successful.

Fear, perspective, energy and old age. We can master fear, gain in perspective and energy, but we can only delay old age. Work hard and smart in your youth, because a time will come when old age will reactivate the three enemies indicated above. We suppress deep fears and strong aspirations for the best part of our lives. The wise man confronts his fears and pursues his aspirations. A shallow well rarely produces water. You need to dig deep to expose the courage and purity of your soul. The fool is satisfied with the shallow and the superficial. What you see on the screen of your mind and feel in your heart will become a reality in your outer world. If you fear poverty, you will become poor. If you fear abuse, you will be exploited. If you fear failure, you will not make the grade. Unscrupulous operators did not cause most of the discomfort and failures that you experienced so far during your lifetime. You played a prominent part in them. What you create in your mind and heart becomes a reality in your outer world. People treat you the way you allow them to treat you.

When we turn twenty our determination dominates everything we do. When we turn thirty we reach some maturity and partially master the art of reason. When we turn forty we become judgemental and very fixed in our perceptions. When we turn fifty we avoid conflicts and challenges as much as we can. Not out of fear, but because we discovered the futility of most arguments. When we turn sixty we finally stop swimming upstream and discover that we were our own worst enemy since birth. Why not try a bit of reverse psychology today? Why not visualise and see what your outcome will be if you fail to take action. Simply think of the consequences if you take no action. See how idiotic you look in your frozen position. See how people get a head start on you because of your fear of potential failure. Experience the remorse that you would feel when somebody with much less potential than you takes the first prize or gets the lucrative deal.

Will you allow a butcher to do open heart surgery on you? Why discuss your fears and anxieties with individuals that often have a worse track record than your own? There is a strong desire to achieve closure when faced with adversity. Only an idiot will discus his fears and worries with an unqualified person or strangers. Will you publish your most secret thoughts and fears in your local newspaper? Why then share your thoughts and feelings with a person that has no control over his tongue? The wise man never shares sensitive information that he would not want published with anyone. You are covered with “hot buttons”. These “hot buttons” are the ego buttons that trigger your actions and reactions when your ego interprets that you might be facing potential danger. Each button represents something that happened in the past that caused you discomfort, embarrassment or pain. You will never break the pain, fear and discomfort cycle that you developed since early childhood if you continue to allow these buttons to activate.

You can only modify you reactions to perceived danger when you decide to suspend judgement, panic and fear until you know what is really going on. You can become one of the most powerful influencers today if you are able to focus on the needs, fears and aspirations of others. When you allow your mental eyes to open, you discover the gold in the same people that you judged in the past. Your life will take on a new meaning and you will become a member of a very rare club. Stop living a life where you are always trying to get the best deal for yourself. You can do anything that you believe that you can do. If you lack faith in your own ability, you will splutter and stutter your way to failure. Winners in life first see themselves as champions on the screens of their minds, then go out, and make it a reality. They do not replay images of failure and fear in the theaters of their minds and then expect the reverse to become a reality. Your all powerful inner self is waiting for you to activate the real power that is slumbering deep inside you.

When you set this system free you will become unstoppable. You can take control of people’s minds by making them dependent on you. While you are dependent on others, you remain at their mercy. Do not empower people by playing an overly subservient role. Stand up for your rights. Walk tall and do the most productive thing possible at each given moment. Stop giving away your power. Fear of loss and failure will hamper your progress severally. You cannot even begin to understand people and influence them if you are bent on forcing them to only adopt your point of view. Only fools will attempt to force a person into a new mindset by using fear or rejection as a tool. Only when you are able to project yourself in someone else’s shoes will you begin to understand what his perceptions are. It is difficult to influence people if you are unable to figure out how they think. You must discard this illusion of separation that you have been sold by unscrupulous operators if you want to experience real love, happiness and success. Once you accept that you are one with everything in the universe, you lose your fear of isolation. You are one with every creation on this planet.

You must stop or modify something if you discover that any of your actions make you feel bad or land you in trouble. It is usually time to make critical decisions if you feel drained, used, abused, fleeced or in pain in any relationship or project that you are busy with. It is people’s fear of change or the unknown that cause them to remain on the sinking ship. You will be challenged many times in your life. Certain people challenge you out of fear. Life is an ongoing power struggle. Most people are convinced that they need to dominate if they want to succeed. The wise man feels no desire to dominate or subdue because he is not afraid of the unknown. He is not frightened of those that openly challenge him, but becomes vigilant when his enemy says nothing or sends him roses. Your progress in life is often not controlled by what you know, but whom you know. Make it your business to surround yourself with influential people. Network your way to success. Fear isolates people and prevents them from making connections that could provide them with a shortcut to their dreams. Remember a stranger is often a friend that must still be introduced to you.

Life is not a popularity contest. When you start living your life without fear of rejection or loss you gain real power.

TRUE COURAGE IS TO DO WITHOUT WITNESSES EVERYTHING THAT ONE IS CAPABLE OF DOING BEFORE THE ENTIRE WORLD!

La Rochefoucauld

I have had many friends that found it impossible to stop being the doctor, professor or managing director when they arrive home or came for a visit. The same “management tools” that they used at their offices they continued to use at home and in their private lives. They found it impossible to adjust roles when they arrived home or mixed with friends and family.

They expected their families to “consult” with them. They expected their family or friends to continuously “earn” their love. They never really dropped their pose. I got the feeling that they were afraid that they might not be accepted, respected and loved without their title. They become the piece of paper (certificate) that decorates their wall or the position they held in their offices. Without their title or money they felt invisible and powerless. I can still remember a person that held a virtual celebrity status in the community and how he fell apart when he lost his job and title as “Metropolitan Chief Security Officer”. He deflated like a beach ball that sprung a major leak. His “Mr. Big image disappeared overnight. He changed from a leader to a stuttering insecure follower. He lost his imposing and dominating figure and even looked smaller with his bowed shoulders. It was pathetic to see this person fade away when he lost his uniform and title.

It takes real courage to just be you on all occasions. The best doctors do not float around in a God like manner. They are usually warm, kind, empathetic and compassionate people. They are effective and highly professional and only wear masks when they operate. Don’t get me wrong. I do not say that a person that is just himself goes around with a frozen smile on his face all the time. He is also not in a good mood all the time. He is simply a “What you see is what you get.” kind of person.

I WILL BE THE BEST ME AT ANY GIVEN MOMENT IN TIME.

I WILL NOT “ROLE PLAY” FOR ANYBODY. PEOPLE WILL ALWAYS REMEMBER ME AS A “WHAT YOU SEE IS WHAT YOU GET” PERSON

People play very complicated games with each other. Man is the most devious of all creations. They can change shape, loyalty, form and colour like chameleons. They have a mask for most occasions. Most people position themselves so they can get the best deal for themselves possible from every encounter. A fool convinces himself that friends, family and even strangers have their best interest at heart.

Life is not a popularity contest. When you start living your life without fear of rejection or loss you gain real power. When you can be you, wherever you go you have reached full maturity. When you meet a person that can be honest without a police officer looking over his shoulder, you have met a person of integrity. When you have a worker that can give you an honest days work without constant supervision you have met a person with integrity. It is easy to say and do the right things when you are in the public eye, but to sustain deliberate and honest action when you are out of the spotlight shows real character. Just be you. If someone does not like who you are it is his or her problem. You can only live a stress free life if you love your fear of failure.

When you accept, the inevitable it will bring closure to incomplete cycles and usually activate a wonderful feeling or relief in your heart and soul.

WORDS OF WISDOM FOR TODAY

You may ask, “What must I do when I am confronted with severe adversity and problems that seem insurmountable? What must I do when I tried my level best and I still failed miserably? We are often faced with circumstances that we have had very little control over. The biggest mistake that you can ever make is to immediately jump to the conclusion that you are punished by God because of something that you did somewhere in the past. It is also not that shady character Satan that is targeting you in an attempt to test if you are ready to join his team.

We are convinced from early childhood that we are usually responsible for the setbacks and failures that cross our path. I have interviewed women that have been brutally raped on their way from work that feel that it is some kind of sick test from God to see if they are still “heaven” material. You might feel that it is impossible that people in this day and age still think that way, but many do.

You will only learn to manage failure and setbacks if you accept that life is simply a process of cause and effect. There is no mystical force at work my friend. The key to problem and failure management is fairly simple. What happened to you might be real and very painful, but how you respond to such failure will decide the outcome of such setback.

I know it is difficult when your pain and disappointment is real to understand that you still hold the key to your recovery. You almost always have a choice. You can fall apart and play the role of a victim to perfection or you can decide that you are not going to allow this painful failure or problem to get you down permanently.

Please note that I do not claim that it will be easy, but want you to understand that you hold the key to recovery in your hands. You will shorten your recovery time tremendously if you can muster up the courage to get up when knocked down and come out fighting.

LET US GET REAL AND FACE REALITY

Sit down right now and make a list of all your problems, setbacks and failures that you feel is preventing you from being the success you know you can be. Make sure that your list is as comprehensive as possible.

Once you have your list, I want you to do the following. I want you to go through your list and see if you can identify the things that you feel is totally out of your control and that you can do very little about in the foreseeable future. Mark them with a ® in front of them. The ® is used to remind you of reality thinking. If you know that you will not be able to raise the million Rand you need to save your business, mark this problem with an ® and immediately stop bullshitting yourself that a fairy might drop in during the night and leave a cool million Rand next to your bed. The sooner you accept the inevitable that the problems and setbacks marked with ® is currently “unsolvable” the quicker you will come to term with the potential consequences. Rather face reality and focus on things that you can do something about than unrealistically clinging to fantasies.

Once you have illuminated the factual reality stuff you can begin to do something constructive about the rest of the items on your list. There is no purpose or logic in living in a fantasy zone. Once you have accepted the worst that can happen and you get busy with things that you can do something about your life will take on a new meaning. You can cry and feel sorry for yourselves all you like. You can continue to speculate what you or someone else could or should have done deep into the night, but when you wake up tired and depleted the next morning reality will still be there staring you in the face. When you accept, the inevitable it will bring closure to incomplete cycles and usually activate a wonderful feeling or relief in your heart and soul. Learn to face reality so you can spend more time doing something constructive about things that you have control over.
