Mind to Mind Combat: How to Control Your Opponent’s Psyche

.

.

The founder of a Russian combat school says you do not even need to touch your enemy to defeat him. What you really need, though, is the right mental attitude.

Vadim Starov, the owner of the combat school, explains that non-contact fighting is about taking control of the opponent’s psyche and giving him a false target. He claims the technique can help you overpower someone far stronger than you.

“I am in a trance, I am relaxed. I am giving the dog a bone. Look the bone is here! Now, it is here! Now, it flies away, and he follows it”, this is how the coach commentates his fighting technique, as he manages to defeat his opponents while hardly touching them.

Non-contact fighting is rumored to have been developed in secret by the Soviet Special Forces to give them an edge against their counterparts.

Dedicated followers are growing in number almost every week.

“I saw his aura straight away at the first session. I closed my eyes and it glowed in front of me”, says one of the men in Vadim’s gym.

“Vadim’s system is a way of changing your own psychological make-up and then that of your opponent. It’s not so much a fight as a conversation”, adds another student.

Miracle, fraud or plain ridiculous, as it might seem to many, the technique has some scientific basis.

“There are a lot of myths around what this non-contact fighting can do – and its powers are exaggerated. These psychological techniques do exist, but most people cannot use them consciously,” says Sergey Klyuchnikov, director of a center of practical psychology.

Vadim himself stresses that non-contact fighting is not appropriate for every situation, and cannot be perfected without advanced psychological training.

Anyway, his gym seems to be prospering. And while it may be some time before all of the world’s conflicts are resolved without so much as a punch being thrown, Vadim Starov is already planning to open new schools all over Russia to cope with the growing demand for learning his methods.

The danger of creating assumptions is that we believe them and we take action based on them.

.

We know parts of truths or events that happen in our life, we know this as PERCEPTION or POINT OF VIEW. Much like having two sides of a story, but we need that third line to have closure. But when we don’t have the rest of the information, we tend to fill in the space with stories and reasons of why, when, where, who, what, how, that we create on our own. But this third line is solely created in our mind, we take the information that we have, truths and facts, and from them we create the missing part of the information out of our own imagination. But it isn’t a fact. The danger of creating assumptions is that we believe them and we take action based on them. Depending on our tendency, we can fill in the third line or the missing piece of information with a optimistic point of view or a pessimistic one. This is where our tendency to believe our own stories, that fill our psyche with a negative or up lifting point of view, can determine how we perceive life. We can see that the actions we take from the decision we make can be distorted by our own assumptions.

The danger of creating assumptions is that we believe them and we take action based on them.

There is a saying that ignorance is bliss. This might be true for some, but it is as far as I am concerned the root cause of most of our suffering, pain and anxiety. Accepting life, people, religion, politics, perceptions, choices, rules and laws at face value imprisoned the mind of mankind. Looking at anything in life from a single perspective is the lazy way out. Seeing and experiencing from a limited range of perspectives have shackled man almost since its inception. Primitive man could not read, write or decipher the range of threats that confronted them and were forced to turn to priests and other individuals for guidance. This disposition provided a wonderful opportunity for those that claimed that they understood to take over control of their followers minds. The initial flimsy net that these opportunists wove gradually grew stronger and more sophisticated.

You will later see how this initial ignorance created an ideal vehicle of enslavement for those in control. Mankind have been kept in a state of ignorance since the beginning of time by greedy power hungry individuals, groups and organizations. Primitive methods of pain, pleasure and hope were used to restrain the masses. Man experienced fleeting moments of pleasure while they blindly obeyed the “commands” of these controllers. Thousands of written laws, spiritual and otherwise came into being over the years. Those that remained subdued and subservient were praised and rewarded while anyone that questioned anything faced the intricate range of pain that these controllers could bring to bear on them. They were cruelly tortured in the dark ages when they questioned anything to do with religion or the state.

Mankind became the slaves of the controllers. They were carefully manipulated to let go of a fair percentage of their hard earned income. The state took their pound of flesh while the religious leaders demanded at least ten percent of all income earned as well. The system sucked in mankind to such an extent that only a handful of individuals over the years showed the courage to point out the deadly trap that we find ourselves in up to today. Do you grasp that the slaves of this system not only police the deadly system on behalf of the controllers, but breed their future slaves when they produce children? I can write a fairly substantial book on this subject matter, but believe that you can see what I am addressing in this document.

My plea is that everyone make it his or her business to get rid of the veil of ignorance that is responsible for most of their anxiety, pain and lack. You might have noticed that I post a very wide range of perceptions daily on an endless range of subjects. My motivation is that I want you to look at stuff from many different perspectives. Nothing is as it seems. I will continue to write on the endless range of methods used to keep us ignorant if I get a fairly acceptable responds on this post.

The only sure thing in life is that you will never reach a permanent safe harbor. You will never be fully out of danger and could fall prey to an endless number of things every second that you are alive.

TRAVEL BACK IN TIME

What would you do if I could provide you with the opportunity to travel back in time and re-take a very poor choice that you made somewhere in your past? Would you grasp such opportunity with both hands? Would you still accept my offer if I added that you will be allowed to make a different choice, but then you lose everything that happened to you since that fateful day.

You will lose all the money you earned, the friends you made and all the other things that you participated in since that fateful day. Do you feel convinced that your life would have turned out so much better if you decided differently on that fateful day? Can you with a high degree of certainty say that your life would have been much better than it turned out for you up to now?

Most people hesitate when I ask them this question because they do not want to take the risk of the alternative choice and the unknown that they will be force to travel in. What people often forget is that they start each day with the unknown staring them in the face. The day becomes what they make of it. The quality of your life is decided by the quality of the choices that you make.

We sometimes make wise choices and our boat of life travels on calm waters for a while, but sometimes we make poor decisions and end up getting beaten to a pulp by the force of the waves of life. The real key to life is to accept that you will never be able to make wise choices all the time. You will remain an apprentice human until the day you die. You can read all the books you can lay your hands on and will still be face with the unpredictable.

The only sure thing in life is that you will never reach a permanent safe harbor. You will never be fully out of danger and could fall prey to an endless number of things every second that you are alive. There will be very little benefit in going back to retake your perceived poor decision. Soon after you made the perceived “right” choice your life will begin to gravitate in the same direction you find yourself in today.

You might as well accept that life is not fair and that the only way to live is to give each moment the best you have. You are making up your life story as you go along. You must begin to believe in yourself and know that you will be able to take care of whatever you are confronted with.

NO MORE “IF ONLY” HARD LUCK STORIES

It is easy to look back on your life and to search for excuses for your bad lucks and touch breaks. You can sit and feel sorry for yourself all you like. Nothing will get better or change if you do not accept the fact that “shit happens” all the time and that it is part of being alive. You will never reach a stage where you will be able to feel really secure and tranquil. You will be faced with changes and problems until the final day you spend on this troubled plane.

Most people that “role play” that they love and respect you are doing it for the benefit that they have of being associated with you. You are fooling yourself if you think that most people that are currently playing in your game of life really care about your feelings, emotions and dreams. They might not even know it themselves, but they are connected to you because there is some kind of benefit for them in the deal.

Wake up and smell the coffee my friend. You are the only person that can do something about your fate. You can engineer your life into a ditch or a million dollar home. You are in for a nasty surprise if you continue to wait for others to make life happen for you, You will one day find out that a large number of the people that attended your parties and drank your wine are nothing more than human parasites. They feed off your energy, money, insecurity or some other benefit that their association with you brings them. You will one day discover how most of these rats jump ship when your boat of life begins to take in too much water.

Develop a “do it now” attitude if you want to make progress with anything.

Decisions not made today become tomorrow’s problems and disputes. When you ignore any problem, it is provided with time to germinate and grow

Develop a “do it now” attitude if you want to make progress with anything. Procrastination is at the root of most failures. What are you waiting for? The weather or circumstances will never be perfect. While you wait opportunities will pass you by and your minor problems will gain serious momentum.

Develop a do it now attitude and you will be successful. Procrastination is the main reason why people fail. They wait, hope and dream, but never push the go button. It is like a space shuttle on the launch pad. Only when the “go” button is pushed will the giant engines activate and pull the massive ship into orbit. If the go button is not pushed you will find the shuttle still in the same position decades later, all rusted and ready for the garbage heap. Most dreams and aspirations end up on the garbage heap of life as well.

Difficulties and problems are usually forerunners to growth and success periods. The fool gets stuck in the danger zone while the wise man rides the tide and usually emerges stronger and wiser on the other side.

Disconnect from people that enjoy making you look stupid or that take advantage of you. Nobody has the right to minimize your stature or self-perception. You are a champion in your own right. You can never tolerate any activity that is designed to degrade you.

Display true compassion, warmth and understanding if you want to penetrate the defences of someone. You might be pushing someone away with your cold and calculating style. Compassion draws people to you while a lack of compassion sends them into hiding.

Do everything in moderation. Even the most powerful horse becomes weary if worked too hard. Make a good thing even better by knowing when to stop. Begin to work in powerful spurts. Stop trying to sustain pressure all the time. There is a time to sustain pressure and then there is a time to let go and relax. Wisdom is to know when to go for gold and when to relax.

Do not allow friendliness to deceive you. Friendliness is often a good camouflage used to set you up for failure. Enjoy true friendliness, but validate each event on its own merits.

Do not allow other people’s opinions to cloud your better judgement. Most people attempt to influence you to do what is best for them.

Do not allow your current defeated status to prevent you to become who you know you can be. You are not your history and can at any time and at any age make a fresh new start. Nothing that happened in the past can have any hold on your “now” without your permission. It is not important how many times you have been knocked down, but the number of times you got up that counts in the end.

Are you a WRITER who does not write a PAINTER who does not paint, an ENTREPRENEUR who never starts a venture? Do you feel that SOMETHING prevents you from ACHIEVING your full potential? Then it might be an appropriate moment to take a hard look at how your RESISTENCE arrested your ability to take decisive and sustained action. New Series – No. 18

John Lennon – We live in a consumer culture that is aware of the unhappiness of the masses. It focuses all its profit seeking artillery on us in an attempt to exploit us. How is this done? It is achieved by selling us products, drugs and all the distractions we need to take our minds off our perceived unhappiness. I am convinced that most readers will agree that they are also often experiencing of discomfort and pending danger notwithstanding the relative trouble free period that we are currently going through. Many of us mumble, “It is just too good to last” during relative calm periods. Have you ever felt feelings of discomfort and pending disaster percolating just under the surface while your relationship boat is currently safely tucked into a love laced harbour? The main reason why we fail to enjoy our lives one moment at a time is because we are daily in a mental battle with the force of RESISTANCE. We have been well conditioned since early childhood that our happiness, success and feeling of safety can rapidly disappear, overnight or after a single phone call or after we received a single letter. We are thus afraid to really let go and enjoy the moment. We think that if we manage to keep our vehicle of life’s handbrake partially engaged it will prevent the full force of the pain and disappointment when it knocks on our door. Look around you and you will notice that there is virtually no industry that doesn’t target our vanity and strong desire for love, acceptance and security. Our bodies are never perfect and we need some lotion or potion that will melt away the fat so we can be happy and acceptable. Our hair apparently fall short of the required level of shine and texture and prevent us from making the right impression while we work or play. Our boobs are either too small or too big and apparently play a major role when you are trying to find the perfect partner. We are either too well qualified or under-qualified when we apply for a job and need some additional training if we want to earn a good income or stop living with our parents. There are endless streams of RESISTANCE in us that subliminally influence us daily. Society is set up in a manner that exploits that natural RESISTANCE that our parents hammered into us. Millions of conversations take place in our heads almost all the time. There are so many voices that hum in our heads that attempt to direct our lives that we find it virtually impossible to get a moments rest. These voices are the voices of RESISTANCE that everyone that ever had anything to do with your conditioning planted in your head. You still have great, great grandparents that attempt to give you input via the conditioning of your parents. You also still have the spooky voices of priests in your head that warn and reprimand when you contemplate thoughts of joy, sex and rock and roll. Can you see what you are up against? You have a huge personal archive that is plugged into the family archive that is in turn plugged into the society’s archive etc. Can you see where the RESISTANCE come from that are playing such a powerful role in all your choices and experiences.

I suggest that you make some notes today of the endless range of archives that you are subscribed to. Look around you today and notice how many products, services and commercial ventures want to plug into your RESISTANCE channel. Notice how everyone, yes even lovers attempt to find a need or defect in you that they promise that they can sort out for you. Notice the advertisements on TV, the bill boards everywhere you look that attempt to make you a better, more complete, successful and happy person (at a fee). See if you can figure out how your tendency to RESIST your current moment is robbing you of peace of mind. I will continue this series tomorrow.
